I would go with A cheaply made Chinese burple off alibaba. But you might want to ask the guys in the LED section

If you want a good led I suggest a AgroLed 720. It would be good for a 4x4. I use a 576 for a 3x3 and love it. Now all the Cobb and Qboard guys will chime in tell you led sucks. I'm going to give the Timber 400w cobb a try to see for myself. But I had no issues with my led

a HLG600h kit from growers lights.

or

two HLG 260w kits from Horticultural lighting group.

or

Something similar wattage from Timber or PLC

or

Check out DIY strip builds on LEDgardeners site.

If your looking at blurple lights then go with 50w per square foot. Take no notice of the title wattage and look for the wattage draw in small print. Personally I would go HPS over cheap LED.

Here in lies your question.. Good Yields? Good Quality? Good on your Wallet? Are you keeping it long term? Are you just trying it out as a hobby?

Cheap End > Blurple

Max Configuration > Build One

Pay More but get a Reliable, well known Brand > Ones Mentioned Above, by Corey and Dan.

And keep in mind not everyone is fortunate enough to live in a legal state..I called my congressman here in Virginia and he would not even entertain the idea of legalizing cannabis..he said he did not want his state filled with dope heads
(His words not mine)

Sorry i didnt mean to come off as insulting u, the hlg 600 will replace a 1000w hps at half the power and heat with more light output and last you for many many years, still led lighting but using top bin samsung diodes, OP is talking about 4-5 plants so prob a 4x4 tent, would work great

Oh no homie, no offense taken!
All I was saying is all I'm interested in is growing enough for maybe 2 plants max..my ol lady really don't like the idea of me growing because she is afraid I will get in trouble.
If you ask me you stand a better chance of getting in trouble growing outdoors than you do growing indoors.

As for the difference it would make, in the lbs
Of course, but me personally, all I need is enough to get me by..not enough to go to federal prison. And here in my state..they will FUCK you for years if they find anything out..I know 3 guys right now that got a year and a half for 4 plants after they were caught by the virginia state police. Growing in the woods a mile from our house.

Those are harsh sentences. I live in a country where its illegal throughout, but the punishment is tame, likely a fine and a slap on the wrist. Worse thing for small time grower is getting equipment confiscated.

In your situation I can see the attraction to cheap LEDs. They do grow, the key is to keep your plant canopy realistic to the true power of the light and not buy into the wattage in the title which is only the diodes size multiplied by diode count and means nothing apart from a misleading title.

There is always the risk of failure with cheap lights made with minimal quality control and cheap parts though.

For me over here prices are different, a vipar 450 is 200 real watts and will cover a 2x2 space. It costs £119
Where as a HLG 135w kit covers the same space and cost £134 with taxes on top because I need to import from USA.
So price is not much different in small grows, at least not for me.
But I know from my own experience I can pull 8oz off that 135w quantum board with the right veg time and training.
