Attitude Seeds - Compromised?

Well, we will see. Maybe it is just a few entry ports that are taking an extra look at packages.

That said, there seems to be some pattern here of orders going to the east coast, and coming in through New York, taking longer than usual. I would venture to guess that most mail that hits the east coast from international locations comes in through New York.

Let's not jump to conclusions. I was just presenting the information that I was told to see if anyone else could verify it. If it turns out that they are taking a careful look at packages, then, well, all bets are off.

there it goess another good thing goes to waist

He spoke to a friend he has in another state who works for the postal service and he said that USPS is now x-raying ALL packages that come into the country,

Guess you're gonna have to switch companies.
While I doubt that every package can be X-rayed, if what the alleged friend claims is true than what good would switching companies do if the; "USPS is now x-raying ALL packages that come into the country" Wouldn't packages from other seed vendors fit into the category of; "all packages that come into the country?"

That was what I pointed out to him in a following post I made...probably just trying to drum up another sale for Nirvana or the like.

I really don't think it is just Attitude that is of concern. As a matter of fact, in retrospect, I should have kept their name out of the title of this thread.

Honestly, we have seed dispensaries in our state now, so, the point of risking an over-seas transaction are pretty much pointless. I can get clones, mothers, and seeds from my local dispensary!

wouldnt be very stealth if I told you, now would it?
Exactly! I hate seeing threads with pics of the ways seed companies use stealth shipping, that is not helping either. And I seriously doubt that usps or customs have the time or capabilities to x-ray/check every package, or it would take 6 months for any package to get to you.

Look, all I am going to say is this...

If they are not checking packages, then how did my package get picked off?
several ways: did the sender's address really exist? if not and it was far fetched, like

"george washinton
1 valley forge rd
trenton NJ 11111

an address like that in conjunction with excessive tape or a couple of other "signs" will be intercepted. can't recall the other tells....
It is not even feasible to Xray every package, we would have $5 stamps and an even worse economic outlook for the USPS.

i just got an order from the attitude this week no problems..
i've gotten that same letter from customs on an order about a year or so ago.. it nearly made me poop my pants, and now i know what amyl nitrates are after reading it on my letter, lol..

Sounds like just a random freak incident then (my seeds getting picked off)...

I will send a PM to the mods to delete this thread, that way people don't get worried over nothing! :)

They do not delete any posts to my knowledge... Don't worry, just like the million "attitude germination rates suck" threads that are on here from newbs who don't know how to germinate a seed. I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck in future purchases.

No worries man. I didn't want to bash Attitude. No idea why I put it in the title.

I want to repeat what I said before...Attitude has always treated me great and if I were to order again, I would order from them. That said, I won't be ordering from overseas again.

Just my 2 cents, but I don't think it would be possible for the usps to inspect every package that comes in the US.

Something to consider is the DEA and or Customs has the budget to purchase seeds from every vendor and pick their stealth shipping options and learn how seeds are stealth shipped and then put a watch for those sort of items/packaging and return business address name seedbanks use. It is possible something like that happened and Attitude, and possibly other seed vendors, will have to alter their stealth shipping and return to business address names to regain stealth.

I am not saying that is what happened but while the government is dumb it is not stupid and if I worked for the government and it was my task to stop the flow of beans into the country the first thing I would do it place enough orders from every seed vendor to be able to pick every stealth shipping option and then notify Customs of what to look for, what to red flag and inspect.

I doubt that something like that has happened but with the massive flow of mail and packages entering the country it is impractical to X-ray every letter and the things of most concern about getting through Customs are things that would not fit into envelopes or individual small packages so priority is on other things.

I would say it is one of two things. Just the luck of the draw, as in I have purchased seeds online almost from the day they first became available and I have never had a single order not get through but then someone else's very first order will be inspected and will not get through.

Or it is another case of another person with a fairly recent join date and low post count, not to look like they just joined and a post count just large enough to not look like they just showed up for a scare tactic to try to keep people from using Attitude, but still a recent enough join date and low enough post count to not be an established member who people know and trust and that has to make you wonder what might actually be behind the thread/messages.

If people have paid attention to the various threads about Attitude not being legitimate or not being safe etc. They have been started by people who only fairly recently joined and with post counts that are normally around 50 posts or under. Normally a second person that fits the same general description will chime in and agree and give more credence to the warning.

It is not only happening on this site. Attitude's honesty and safety has been questioned, by members who fit the same description given above, on numerous sites like this. Some time back I posted a message from a similar growing site that had been posted by a mod. They had a rash of anti-Attitude or beware of Attitude threads by members that fit the description given, fairly recent join dates and low post counts. The decided to check the IP information of the 'different members' chiming in saying beware .... and the information turned out to be the very same.

This thread may not be a case of that but there is an intentional concerted, and likely directed, anti-Attitude assault going on, on sites like this, and it has been for some time. Attitude has grown to be the largest and the best seedbank and is evidently cutting into the business of others and it is clear that someone is trying to scare people and keep them from using Attitude.

As I said, in this case it might be legitimate, though it sounds highly unfeasible, but there has been a concerted orchestrated effort to damage Attitude's reputation going on for some time, here and on other sites also, so I would take any DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER, DANGER thread about Attitude with a grain of salt unless you begin to seen a number of them from well established members who have used Attitude numerous times over a long period of time and only now have had problems like the ones we see other less credible people claim.

If this is true about the xrays on mail, and it wouldn't surprise me with all the Orwellian ..."terrorists are under every rock" bullshit and the airline gestapo tactics of xraying the people with cancer causing radioactive naked body scanners and prison pat downs on all the sheeple. But if it is true, and Attitude for example starts having to re-send seeds under their stealth guarantee (if you pay extra for that option).....then Attitude will either raise the price of their guarantee to an excessive fee to cover their losses or either drop their guaranteed delivery option for seed orders going into the U.S.

I'd say they'd probably just drop their guarantee and do like all the other seed sellers and put up that all too familiar disclaimer..."order at your own risk, and we are not liable for customs confiscations " . As for one of the posters that put up the customs letter of confiscation, it said Port Of Chicago, I've seen a lot of posts about seeds getting intercepted going through the Port Of Chicago.

One place I would not order from is Holland, though I did order once from GrowShopAlien , but that was back in 2007, and it was 6 packs too! all in one envelope , though I'm not saying how they done it and neither should anyone on any grow site divulge of stealth methods from any seed seller. Anything coming into the U.S. from Holland will be looked at the hardest.

If customs and post offices start stepping up harder measures to counter contraband, then we will see stamps and shipping fees skyrocket, and like that dyke butch big sis Janet Napolitano director of Homeland Security will probably say at the people's whining..."higher postage prices are necessary to protect us from acts of terrorism".

Canada has quite a few seed sellers. I've never ordered any from Canada,I wonder if Canadian mail coming into the U.S. is scrutinized just as hard as over seas mail.. I just got 2 strains from Attitude last week, paid for their "guaranteed delivery". Now I'm wishing I had ordered more. I think I'm going to order about 6 more strains soon so I'll be set for a while and start growing a seed crop every 3rd grow.
