I had to abstain from 1992 till my recent retirement
due to the required "peeing in a cup". In that time, I turned
to the only legal relaxant, alcohol.

When I was forced by economics to forsake cannabis, the
price was $40 per ounce. Now, it's $100 for a quarter ounce.
No way I can afford that!

So, I was SO happy to find this site! I'll learn to grow my own
for my personal use. I know it'll take time to learn the ropes, so
to speak. But in my old age, I've learned patience.

yes growing your own is the best u know what went in to it and what your smoking and growing pot does take some patience :)

Welcome Oldstoner - is the 54 your age? Damn near mine
I used to be in the "Whiz quizz" club myself, worked for our Uncle. Done with that now & enjoying the fruits of my cultivation.
What method are you planning on using? Dirt, Hydro etc...
I myself went organic & am very satisfied, or perhaps I'm just too dumb/lazy to go high tech hydro.
At any rate, enjoy your stay & feel free to ask questions.

welcome to RIU. you will find a wealth of knowledge and experience here but you will get some bad advice as well so make sure you get a few opinions on whatever problems you may have on your grow.
