Are two fans the same as one fan?

for my charcoal filter it is recamended that i run at least 800 cfm's through it. my question is, if i run two 500 cfm duct boosters to it, would it work just as good as one 800 cfm inline fan? i mean the two fans equal 1000 cfm's together so id think it would be fine, just looking for someone w/ some knowledge in fans. thanks guys.

if you could duct it in then yah it should work.

Duct booster fans are NOT designed to run with the resistance a carbon filter places on them. Unfortunately the answer to your question is NO.


You WILL need the inline centrifugal fan.
