Anyone use Hemp/CBD Concentrates?

Just wondering if anyone uses these. I quit using thc products a few years ago and I recently started picking up cbd concentrates for stress/anxiety/insomnia. I find the cbd concentrates are a bit overwhelming honestly... which is going to sound crazy to anyone who uses THC. But with no tolerance, a dab of CBD in the morning can wreck my whole day if it is full spectrum. I found some really nice CBG concentrates though and these have a much more manageable and honestly I think a more therapeutic effect. I got some CBN Isolate also but I haven't tried it yet.

Anyone use these?

its so different for everyone. I am also very THC sensitive and trying to find something for anxiety/postpartum depression/insomnia & restlessness. if you are using CBD for insomnia it may not be the best idea as CBD, although relaxing can cause your mind to wake up if it doesn't have THC in it, my cannabis doctor doesn't recommend taking CBD after 5pm for sleep unless it has thc in it. have you tried hemp seed oil? now this can sound crazy as well to some but hemp seed oil also has some very healing aspects to it, before all the hype on CBD, hempseed oil was used for good effect, it has worked great for me, here's a good site with some more info... https://blissedoutbuds.com/best-hemp-oil-for-anxiety/ I've been using the organic hemp oil extract drops for good effect with my anxiety and insomnia.

I use alot of cbd and cbg , cbg is amazing at night , two puffs off the water pipe puts me to ease like a Xanax would.
I also found that too much cbd can be overwhelming too, I don't hardly use thc anymore but when I roll up a cbd jibber I also add a little bit of thc rich cannabis into the mix at a 90 to 10 ratio. I dont know what it is but that tiny little bit of thc tones down the cbd and makes it far more manageable and makes it work better for me . I'd surmise it's some sort of synergistic relationship that goes on in the brain.
Cbd isolates are cool and I've tried em but trying to measure out .05 grams of pure cbd is a pain and going to heavy brings negative effects. I grow my own cbd cannabis but for cbg I use hometown heros dreamscape cbg flower. It works wonders and is the strongest cbg flower I've yet to find.

this is a great point, its so interesting how overwhelming cbd can be.. I went down that route as I didn't want the psycho active effects but it really affected me and made me tired - a bit moody even. I've been smoking homegrown weed lately but would love to fin d a high CBD strain to grow - any recommendations?

I would go with CBG to be honest. I don't know if it is just the quality of CBD used, or if it has something to do with using CBD alone... but if I use a CBD Live Resin with terps in it from a quality company, I usually get energized and just a really clear head. But anything that is just mostly isolate or distillate with added terps, those are the products that get me down and moody like you are saying. I think you really need to aim for products that give you a natural cannabinoid profile as if you were smoking the plant itself. Otherwise you just get a really unbalanced experience.

CBG though on the other hand seems to be a lot less consequential. As in the effects are more noticeable than CBD but a lot more manageable at the same time. Too much though will have you feeling some type of way lol.

Agree that too much CBD isn't fun. Some people get away with as little as 6mg for a decent sleep aid, taken about 10 minutes before bedtime, but everyone is different. Dosages for pain/arthritis are usually much higher. Due to the liver processing tinctures, some people find more effective results when the bud is combusted. Even vaping doesn't have the same positive results as combustion for some.

I've grown Dinamed CBD Plus with great results. I use a slow cooker with 200g of decarbed buds with 1 litre (~quart) of MCT oil and two litres of water at 160 F for 4 hours. Strain and separate/remove the water from the oil, then add 4 tablespoons of sunflower lecithin liquid to the oil and mix thoroughly. This full spectrum tincture turns into ~24mg/ml. The magic butter machine could be used too but I find that cramming more than a QP into it is difficult.

The CBG plants/seeds are starting to become available with some making claims of 19% CBG. My guess is that CBG will become more prominent and sought after than CBD due to its beneficial attributes with fewer unpleasant side effects.

Here are my lab results from the Dinamed CBD Plus plant is illustrated below. Some plants can have up 20% CBD.

I use THC-free CBD oil that I bought from this site here to help me get better sleep at night and it's been working really well for me. I take it as needed throughout the day as well which is why it is important for me to only take THC-free CBD products because sometimes I take it during stressful days at work to help me stay calm and focused and provide pain relief from headache as well.
