It's clearly not an insect, it's part of the plant.

You do realise that SCALE insects look like they are attached right?



Better pictures with different angles would DEFINATELY help us to see what it is.

Yes, but it still looks like part of the plant to me. I sounded kind of dickish in my op, I'm sorry.

In flowering stage now so can't see them but I hope it's not an insect
