Any advice on these strains???

Whattup RIU! Hope everyone had a great 420. I will be beginning my first grow here shortly and was looking for some advice on the strains im considering. Im in Colorado and will be using Craigslist(i know not the best idea but not the worst). Im a first timer so im looking for something forgiving to noob/ease of growth, good yielder, great bag appeal, smelly, and STRONG. Another big requirement is it cant get too tall. Im growing in a 6.5 tall tent and because im a first timer i dont want to use any advanced techniques(scrog, cropping, ect). Id like to just watch her grow in her natural beauty for this time.
I have started talking to some of the growers that have clones available and i have compiled a list. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you have grown it, smoked it, watever....the more info i have on it the better decision i feel i will make. Thanx big time peeps. BTW in no particular order and im only picking two:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:....

if it's a real jack herer and a real gorilla glue#4, THOSE two are keepers.
I've done the grapeape and romulan too, the romulan I did yrs and yrs ago and was really good, the grapeape I didn't like, I have only run one purple strain that I have liked (the all mighty purple paralysis)
But hands down the jack herer is in my top 3 all time... I grew that one for over a decade, and just recently lost her (note to growers everywhere, DOUBLE tag your strains)

Mis-identification is the worst...
The Chernoby I have heard great things about too.
So i'd go with the gorilla glue, the romulan, the jack, and the Chernobyl.
Keep in mind that the jack likes to stretch a bit when triggered, about doubles.
the gorilla is a stout shorty, and the romulan I had was in between.
I would flower them all no higher than 18" to be safe, especially if you want them au natural.

you could get like 8 things of Bodhi strains for that money and find phenos in there that are world-fuckin-classss
seems to me that's just asking for trouble...

I'm scared of the stretch on the jack. I'm definitely goin to get gg4. Got a couple people to get it from so that should be cool to compare. I feel the way u do about the purple paralysis(haven't tried) bout the GDP. Definitely my fave purp EVA. I'm a huge diesel fan but I don't wanna grow her cause of height issues....so I figure the gg4 and Deathstar will get me kinda close to her. After that I'm goin to round the tent out with some kushes....just cuz I've never really had some good kush and I'm thinking they will be smaller than the rest....or at least hopefully. I'm thinking 2 gg4, 2 Deathstar, 2 Gdp, and 4 kushes(possibly bubba/master/deadhead or if I can find Tahoe/fire og/Larry/sfv). Makes a total of ten. Thanx grease! Your advice is always great and right to the point.

From that list, I'd go with the Chernobyl, SFV OG, and AK-47. Another member on this site has grown every OG known to man, and he always talks about how good the SFV OG is. I have grown the AK-47, and as long as you're OK with a REAL stinky plant that one is fire. Never grown Chernobyl, but it's on my list and you never read bad reviews of it.

I've grown GG #4 and smoked GG #4 and to me it's not all that. I may have been passed a bunk cut, but I now have another legit one in veg. I have sampled flowers from authentic GG #4 and it's pretty good, but not great IMO. I've heard others say the same. Nice plant in every way, but great in no way.

Nah I'm not doing anything outside. I'm not goin to go with the blue knight but it definitely peeked my interest. The grower said its pretty finicky to grow. Have you smoked any of it?

I have smoked AK before and its in my top 5. I'm hopefully goin to sample the finished product of most of these(except the deathstar....grower doesn't give out samples). Hopefully that will help narrow this down. Thanx Stow.

right you are my brother, but the one I have is SERIOUSLY frosty, the bag appeal is the best I have, but the smoke isn't memorable, not even in my top ten in potency, but the taste, and appearance are super nice, plus mine was done in 45-50 days, and like em RIPE.. VERY dense too
soooo in that regard... It's a keeper.
Doesn't stretch much either.
But yea, it's nothing special in regards to it's effects, I mean it's strong and tasty, but nothing to write home about.
I want to see what I can do with it after it's trained and vegged right.

If I were growing weed to sell it GG #4 would be the centerpiece of my garden. Like you said, great bag appeal, great yiled, nice tatse, smell, buzz, etc. It's definitely a nice strain, but it isn't great in any way.

Now, the Bodhi strains I have grown have been great! :weed:

very true man, very true, and it sounds like you got the real cut the first time too.
If you can find the double dream... that's a keeper, literally smokes and tastes just like the bluedream only very little stretch and a quicker maturation time.
Plus the yield I got from my 12 inch plant was 1.5 OZ...on 12 inches...
it literally grew the cola all the way down to the soil, i'm not kidding.., I had to trim some nugs off the base just so I could cut the stem..
Insane.
And the smoke is VERY strong.... maybe a tad stronger than the bluedream, but it's hard to tell...
But a blind taste test and i'd mistake it for the bluedream though... that's saying a lot, the BD is an all time fav of mine.

Which breeder does the double dream? I'm sure I'd like it as I absolutely love Bodhi's Dream Lotus and pretty much any other BD cross I've tried. I've heard HSO has a really nice feminized version of Blue Dream.

meh... I don't know I got it from dark heart nursery..
I didn't like the HSO bluedream, but it was probably because of the name, in my mind it should be called something else, didn't resemble the clone-only BD..
The double dream is a good one though, I have actually pondered on replacing the BD with it, and I have been doing the BD for almost a decade now.
Love that strain, clones fast, finishes fast, yields a ton, mold resistant, mite resistant (as much as possible) and it great indoors and out, freaking outside the BD can get you LBS and LBS off one plant easy.
I wonder what the Double dream would do outside..

Oh and if its the real jack herer, I would highly recommend getting it, no question. It doens stretch too bad, just flower her before she gets to two feet.

Lmao....Yes we do. I think if I pay attention to height I will be OK.....AND with ur guys help of course hehe. I also figure its not like they will have different feeding regiments. Everybody gets water(cept my two botanicare experiments). But yes u are very right it balloned!!

I'd still have it if I didn't mislabel...:wall: :wall:
heh off topic sorta, my buddy just texted me telling me his lucky charms and jabbas stash rooted and he has cuts for me....
Guess it's up to a nice round 20 strains now huh...
but hey, two more Bodhi strains... can't complain

I would love some jack herer but its just like why I won't do diesel....I'm scared of the stretch. When I don't have height restrictions they will be the first on my list. Or when I try scrog.
