So the store i goto does not carry blood meal. I told the clerk im not a vegan and that animal products don't bug me. But he insisted that i use cottonseed meal ,as a replacement for the blood meal and that i use bone char as a replacement for guano. The ratios at the time didnt really differ to much from what i was replacing and i was also super excited to start my adventure into tue amazing world of super soil ... as i have been strait up addicted to the knowledge that subcool has shared on the weed nerd "awsome show and mad props to all the weed nerds affiliated with the show! Also thank you for the things you do and have shared with all of us in the community" anyhow its been three weeks now. The soil is moist and setting in a sterilite 45 gallon tote with lid and kept in the basement with temps around 60-70. At first i noticed the myco being really active within the first week chompin away on the alfalfa pellets. I turned the soil about 5 days after storing it, it had alot of heat being produced in the middle of the container...wich from research i knew was normal and meant everything was all good n doing its thing.. i have turned the soil numerous times since about two times a week and have noticed that the soil is no longer producing heat..nor is it really active on the top of the soil...its still moist ....i know its only been three weeks and i probably shouldn't worry, but i took a ph and npk test on the soil and the results were as follows ..

Ph 7.0
N-high
P-med
K-med

So my ? Is if the ph has risen to 7.0 does that mean it is done cooking?
Thanks to anyone that can help me out as super soil is all new to me i have used m3 mix and had decent results but alot of burns and after being a MI patient and caregiver that cares about his patients dearly i would like to produce the finest DANK possible for me and my patients I am turning to super soil.

my recipe is as follows and thanks!

Three weeks is the bare minimum I'd say. 6 weeks is usually what I shoot for. Your mix looks good.

If you start some seeds of clones now, the super soil will be ready by the time the plants are ready to be transplanted into it.

Something to keep in mind. The NPK ratios may be similar for bone char vs. guano and cottonseed vs. blood... But the blood and guano are much quicker to release their nutrients than bone char and cottonseed meal. Just another reason to wait it out a little longer.

Good luck!

Spicysativa thank you for your input!

I have some tga gear i just got in the mail ...i have a 5 pack of qrazy train "ISO querkle dom pheno" and i also have a 10 pack of the conspiracy kush "ISO a nice colorful pheno or whatever taste the best"
If i get a good beasty male from the conspiracy i may cross it with the urkle dom female of the qrazy.

I will prolly do the qrazy first since theres less phenos to select from and less seeds

Good luck! If you're just starting out, I recommend you keep it simple. Don't worry about breeding just yet. Just concentrate on growing healthy plants.

Thanks. I have been growing for almost 5 years now.. just new to super soil, the breeding part wouldnt scare me to much i would keep the male n female at a different location for the entire pollination event .
I have grown with botanicare pbp for the majority of the time i have been growin. The most i have ever pulled from a single plant was 14oz from a violator kush. It was in a 18 g tote and grown with the entire botanicare line. I switched from PBP to an organic medium called m3 mix "michigan made mix" i have harvested four times since and i have to say i was not impressed. The npk more like a boom soil im not entirely sure but i believe it was a 14-38-15 and even though it grew some decent product, it seemed to be lacking something and i was getting burns and necrotic leaves all the time. I will definently keep up on this post for results.

When I start the TGA gear i will use the soil and start a new thread and post the name of it here so u could follow it there i will be growing it the same way as sub! Trying to train them out the same way and use the same size pots ,only difference is i am going to use a 2 gallon pot to a 7.. thanks again
