Thanks! I used GHE nutes (general hydroponic europe) using the 'Lucas Formula' as suggested by Viired on this forum.. I have just harvested so I am about to post some pics up...

So this morning was the 'day' I woke up earlier than usual - can' think why?
Anyway below are some pics of my two WW's moments before they got the chop & the second pic is the final yield... Unfortunately I do not have any scales?!! so I cannot give you a wet weight, but I reckon there is at least 750g to 1kg there? maybe more... The bud on the far right is the size of my arm! & about the same length...

I have them hanging on a clothes horse in the grow tent (dark) that is now empty with a fan running twice every hour (5mins a time)

Thanks to all that helped during the grow your help & advice was priceless - My first bifta from my yield is all for you guys & of course I will let you know how she smokes... well at the very least I should be able to taste the blood, sweat & tears that went into it!

How long you drying and curing?

From whar I've read & learnt I'm gonna dry for 5-7 days then cure for about the same or until the chlorophyl taste/smell has gone - just bought some good air-tight glass jars so will cure in those... I'll let you know final weight in about a week!

Here's the curing jar I intend on using (1.5L)... Will cure for as long as the dope is in there I guess ,the longer the better, but will do for a minimum of a week before I smoke some... the suspense is unbearable!

I may speed dry & tiny bud to have a test thinking about it... the small buds that I started drying yesterday seem smokable - what the heck I'll have try.....

This is my last post on this thread (thank f**k I hear you cry) until I start my 2nd grow (*sigh* I hear you cry!)...

Basically dried all the bud in 4 days in my grow tent set up with a 'clothes-horse' unsure what they are called in the US but it's a foldable metal contraption you dry clothes on...

Had a fan gently blowing air through that came on for 5 min intervals about 12 times a day..

So this is the last post & pic on my thread for this grow...
2nd grow commencing any day now - as soon as I can persuade the missus that 'sleeping in a science lab, come garden centre, come bedroom' is not that bad after all..

You cure 4 weeks after they appear dry. Read up on Curing in GROWFAQ.
I did some experiments and pot cured 4 weeks is more potent than weed cured three weeks. Something to do with the cell sugars.

How is it more potent? Does it gain more THC the longer you cure it? Cell sugars don't get you high do they? I could see taste being better, but potency, I'm confused.

I think it has to do with the cannabinoids decarboxylizing into THC or something like that

not sure if its true, i just heard it from other people

I don't understand it, I read everything on curing at GROWFAQ and at a dozen other sites, and I averaged out the infromation to dry in open air for 4 to 5 days and then cure for 4 weeks. I read about Sugars and all kinds of stuff that I do not remember or understand.
I also started a thread HOW DO I SAVE AND CURE MY POT
and I got a lot of answers that it will strenghten after 4 weeks of curing!
Well, after my last Harvest was dry 5 days, I smoked a J of the best, biggest bud I had. It tasted so sweet and got me high. But a week later I smoked another one to see if it was different and it was better.
I had harvested my plants on 5-26-07, 6-3-07 and 6-6-07 and I've compared taste and potency at 2 and 3 weeks compared to 4 weeks.
I AM POSITIVE THAT AFTER 4 WEEKS,THE POT IS STRONGER IN POTENCY, IT GETS YOU HIGHER THANT HE POT CURED 2 OR 3 WEEKS.

Does curing affect potency?

The very short answer is YES. It does affect potency in a very positive manner. Curing cannabis after harvesting for few days to several months will improve the potency, as well as the taste and texture of the buds.

Curing takes place after cannabis has been harvested, manicured and partially dried. Most cannabis will retain a significant quantity of moisture within its stems and inner buds even when the outside feels dry. This is especially true for very dense buds, more care must be taken in drying loose airy buds because sometimes they can dry too fast.
