im sure its a "touched up" version of it
hey chitown,
yeah, probably right, but I always hold out hope that someday the real deal will surface. I think the closest 'touched up' version I've heard about (in taste and quality) was reeferman's 'apple pie'. Still a cross, but supposedly very close.

I'd give anything for a few seeds of the stuff I had back in the mid seventies - back in my chicago high school days.

I am sure the real thing is just a memory now, but it would have been nice to see it in todays growing environments and nutrients and see how it would grow using todays technology.

What a shame its gone. It was some of the nicest high I remember. It will fall tonhe cannabis community to preserve heirloom strains as it has fell on small gardeners to preserve vegetable strains. There is much to be gained and lost in most hybrid strains.

Yes it is a shame it's lost I remember that soaring high with a hint of body buzz and the smooth taste.

its still available, you just need to find right people :bigjoint:
and about this one... i wouldn`t buy barney`s version, its definitely mixed with possibly skunk or something else... i do not trust anymore most dutch seed banks:-? this is my personal opinion:joint:

I.m thinking that what we smoked in the late 60's and early 70's was a pure sativa. Barney's says mostly sativa so I'm not buying the name as pure

for me this is just funny...
...sativa dominant... balances upbeat effects with body-relaxing, stress reducing calmness
description says for it self... that this is sat/indi hybrid and only 10 weeks flow... nothing to say

I'm quite sure that the read deal is 100% sativa. I'm working on getting some seeds from one of the locals. Yes they still have the "real deal" there but it's only available during winter. There may be a shot that there is still some available.

I sent Barney's an e-mail a few weeks ago asking about the AG they had to find out if it had any original genetics in it. They never responded after multiple e-mails. I wouldn't buy them based off of that

Hey dudes...just had to post my 2 cents here... check out the below link to a you-tube video from the 2009 CC where Derry is interviewed. At about the 7 minute mark of the video, he talks about the AG strain and where it came from... unless you think he's spouting BS, I'd rethink some of your bias'd opinions! There's no reason for him to lie about something like this - he's already a proven breeder.
