about how many plants do you need to grow indoors or outdoors to produce a pound?

i know it all depends on strains and indica/sativa but lets say on average, just give me an estimate. if i was growing random bagseed of an unknown strain how many would it take to grow a pound of bud dry weight indoors and outdoors?

The question is just too wide open. It's like asking how long will it take to fill a pool.

Without knowing the strain its hard to tell, if I had to throw a number out there I'd say around 10-15 healthy and "large" plants
