I have 8" raptor hoods and 3x4 tables under them lights are fixed to ceiling for max efficiency tables are on comealongs to keep them at the right height. My lights are cooled from outside to outside completely sealed from stink. I also run co2. I can fit either 4 big plants in 7 gal pots or 8 smaller plants in 3gal pots. What do you think?
4 7gal plants per light or 8 3gal plants per 1000w?

I do:
4 in 7gal
6 in 5gal
Sometimes 9 in 5 gal
Really depends on strain, and scheduling.
If you have plenty time for veg and want to keep lower plant counts go 4.
If you don't give a shit about plant counts, and want to start flowering earlier, go with the 8

i dont understand the 7 gallon pots on tables. id run 4 10's on the floor and grow monsters in a peat soilless. with co2 id bet u never look back.

Well your losing out with the 3 in the 3X4. 3gal smartpots will work fine if ur using synthetics. Hell it would work if growing organic. But with organics, it's usually "the bigger the roots, the bigger the fruits"

I must tell you though, The Absolute BEST grower I know (in and outdoor) out of all the growers I know in northern Ca, veg's in soil, switches to synthetics, and kills it better than anyone. And I would like to think I kinda know what I'm doing(in and out also).

heres my theory on this. when running house and garden the key is to get more waterings a week. the peat soilless will just give u total control. but if your hitting 750 on 4 og plants that r generally considered lower yielding, i wouldn't change a fucking thing. your already killing it.

Yes, I've heard people r doing this. i like the idea. veg in 6 inch pots of soil for 3-4 weeks and blast into peat. i may know this guy u speak of. good dude, great farmer.
Thanks I have the same theory so i mix #4 perlite with my happy frog and water every 2 to 3 days. but ill give peat a try.
Only one did other one was fine. Is that just in the genes wtf?

I dunno man, I did the 91 krypt, half had balls, didn't find a keeper outta the rest. But I did their superlemon og, no balls, and holy shit is it massive, but not that good smelling or tasting. Go figure huh
