Hey,

So Im planning a grow in my basement and made a few different layouts; The first is using 3 grow tents, the second using active intake, and the 3rd is sealed...at least I think; let me know if I'm wrong. Would like to know which you think will be the best and most energy efficient.

For starters the exhaust should be at the other end of the system, I don't understand the A/C blowing OS in #3 plan, and plants want fresh circulating air not a "sealed" environment, someone else will chime in on the size of grow and your lighting plan, seems big for the amount of lights in the plan, unless your planning on bleachers for viewing LOL  keep on growing, looking good!

the 3d. so you can add co2, 6 600 watt lights my suggestion is min of 20 thousand btu ac best to get 25 or 30 btu and 8 inch cool tube reflectors, 1 carbon filter should be fine,

With design 2 ( top right) you will lose many cfm because you are pushing through the light fixture. You would lose a bunch if you pulled through as well, but you're going to lose even more this way. But sometimes you want to pull through the filter at less than the top capacity of the filter because it will make your filter last longer. But I'm not the man to discuss these types of aerodynamics with so ill stop here. Try to PM Jrainman and give him extremely exact specs for each design you just posted. To be very honest, he will give you info based on the ACCA manuals so you could know a ballpark figure of how much cfm you would pull with each set-up so you could estimate how long your carbon filters would last. For example, I only pull about 25% of the full capacity through my filters. I waste some watts doing that but my filters are going 5 years strong. If you are more interested in peak cfm extraction and you are willing to be on top of changing your filters more often than that, do yourself a favor and get a hold of Jrainman. Chuck Estevez is pretty darn good at this as well. These are the two foremost experts I have found on this subject so far on RIU.

The AC is venting outside not blowing(sorry), and as far as the the grow room im only planning on using 12x8 of the area so 9600 sq ft x 40 is around 3600.
