i guess i phrased my question in "dabinese"..
are they photo sensitive to light cycles? could i keep it in the tent throughout veg,into flower,back to another veg cycle,and so forth?..i cant find much on this topic..

Lmao, sorry I couldn't be of more help on this subject. I'm a cacti-newb and learning as I go. CatofCuriosity knows his cacti but I haven't seen him here in a while. Maybe try to pm him. :peace:

I don't think it should be an issue as I know folks who grow them well outside of the tropics and they get long summer days long winter nights. Dunno what the optimal light cycle would be indoors though.

Cactus like light but there is no cycle i know of. Enough darkness and they will begin to root. I left a seven foot long cutting on the concrete. A few inches were in shade most if the day, after a month or so the shaded part grew root buds, and there were tiny pups all over the length if the shaft that was in the sun. None of the plant was in soil.

I left my cuttings in a dark cabinet for like 3 weeks (lazy stoner :mrgreen:) before I actually potted them. They had 1" roots bursting out the bottom. Everything took off after potting, and the cacti were showing new light green growth soon after. That's just my experience, other members here have much more exp. dealing with cacti. Peace-

Nice. I have eeds and a friend of mine has seeds, cacti, and Pereskiopsis spathulata for grafting. We will soon find out how fast and effectively easy this will be. THey look good bud. I gotta drop mine in the soil
