What are the temps at the top of the plant. Mine is doing the same thing and I was checking the temp in the box and the top of the plants it was really hot. BUT, from 3/4 down it was like 75-80 but the top was close to 90ish.

Unless the room is very cool I would think venting the air to the attic would get the heat out of the room. My vote would be for the attic.
