Drop of dishsoap in water cure for bugs? any comments?

I have used dish soap in water as a dip with good results; I had a bad spider mite problem and was able to clear them with dish soap, I actually dipped my plants in water with a tiny amount of dish soap and then washed the soapy water off straight after dipping. Dish soap works because it is a...

    Tree Grow

I had a similar idea many years ago, but never did it because it would be too visible, however if I were to do it today I would buy a plastic false wasp nest to wrap round the pot, although I think your pulley and rope might have been a giveaway. Sorry to hear you were ripped off; it happened...

    Cloning while flowering?

I have done this a few times now, and I also have one at the moment along with non-flowering clones, they root in about the same time but the flowering clones take a while to re-veg. When they start to grow you get distorted leaves but after a while they recover; you also get lots of branching...

    Nitrogen deficiency?

I believe the Biobizz grow should be used along with bloom during the flowering phase, you should have picked up a feed schedule guide when you purchased your products.

    building my new GreenHouse Questions??

My greenhouse has a window in the roof, and I open it right up when the temps go that high; I find the black pots and soil get it good and hot when the sun is shining so sometimes I cover the tops of the pots with white board or polystyrene sheets to keep the sun off them. I do find on cold...

    building my new GreenHouse Questions??

I grow in a greenhouse, and I use lots of one gallon bottles filled with water as a thermal store, they help to dampen the night / day temperature swings by acting like a storage heater. Another thing worth doing is keeping your plants under netting, I made a frame from 40mm water piping...

    budworm question?

A good practice for preventing caterpillars is to keep your outdoor plants under netting; this will prevent moths from accessing your plants and laying eggs on them.

First time grower and I am pretty chuffed with how they are looking :)

Be careful using foil, you wouldn't want any bits of it making their way into your light sockets, also what a lot of people don't realize is that mylar is conductive on one side so be careful with that stuff too. Having said that, mylar can be taped onto card with the conductive side facing...

First time grower and I am pretty chuffed with how they are looking :)

You have a very nice grow on the go, I like the use of supplemental lighting by the pots, I recommend adding some reflectors on the pots to give even more light to the lower leaves. You should be chuffed; you’re going to be smiling for a while.

Question. Which Methods of Cloning Are You Guys Using?

You may have just solved your own problem; I found pellets made from peat to be a bit too acidic to starting seedlings or do cloning in. I did have a little success with cloning but not as much as with seed / cutting compost from a nursery.
