i just built my first dwc, i am using a 3 gal, sterlite painted black, 2 2ft flexible airstones, a 8lpm pump, 3 2 in net pots and rock wool. any tips for a newb to thise area.

you can flush more often if you soil drains very well, just stick to the recipe you have been working with, genralyy if you water every 3-5 days you shouldn't go any sooner, for higher air retaining soils you can water more often without causing any overwatering symptoms, but some strains are...

beware of some of your dirt with a higher clay content, some of the people out here will water their inground plant 5 times through veg and less for flowering, they all mix good soil to dirt and i beleive it stays wet for way too long, not that they are actually overwatering. i use foxfarm ocean...

Dude you bought or acquired the weed some how so of course you could do or try whatever you want, throw all the seeds in a glass of good water (distilled is best) the floaters are usually trash. The ones that sink might be good but hell you could still try them all. the next thing to consider is...

I took a mid sized entertainment center, and turned it into a grow cab pretty much. I have 3 main compartments. one of which is shelved. I use the shelved comp. for storage/fan (top shelf) drying(middle shelf) and veg (lower shelf). I am going to conjoin the other 2 compartments for more height...

Im lovin te coco, any of my clones looks better than any of the clones i have ever botten, my plants do grow faster, everything is great. i havent even gotten into growing enough to do anything with ph all i do is water or nute. I have had no problems at all with my youngens in the coco at all.

will coir itself work for cloning? I put 2 snowcap clones into coir with Olivias clone gel i water a couple time a day to push fresh water in and i use a drop of superthrive to half gallon:peace:

is it stupid to clean the soil from the roots then replant into coco. My purple kush is the one i thought about doin it to, im getting ready to take it from a 1/2 gal. pot and putting it in a 3. I would like to go coco and want to get rid of the soil.

I did spray with lights on i try to shake of the excess. Looks like the problem right there, after flushing the leves are starting to look happy again.:peace:

I dont uses them for many reasons, i can build any basic system for around 20 bucks the cash is no problem i DIYer, I dont think the way it grows means u need better lights i also pinch back and lst the hel out of everything so i can utilize my lights alot better.

How often do you normally water? Does it attract bugs? Does it come loaded with nutes already? Any thing special i may need? Is there a major PH fluctuation? Who prefers what brand and cut of coco?
