I use them to filter outside air for my intake fan. They won't work for filtering smell from exhaust.

The thing is, if it were dust or perlite, from being blown around, I feel like it would be on more than just the pistils. To me it looks like resin from burst trichomes, maybe?

Also I use these, instead of weaving branches thru the scrog.

I like em. I used to use a scrog, but it got to be a pita at harvest. Switched to yoyo's and I won't look back.

That 65/70% at lights out, isn't good in flower cycle. Early flower, not so bad, late flower, not so good. If it's not bud rot, I don't believe you have any worries. PM is usually on the leaves. Would be interesting to see what it looks like though.

You might want to cut open some of the buds, with the white pistils. See if they got bud rot. What are you keeping the humidity at?

What kind of light, and how close is it? I don't believe it would be mold, more powdery mildew, but that wouldn't be on just the pistils. Look the leaves over real good.

I see. I put ball valves on all my buckets, so I can disconnect hoses, without having to drain the bucket first.
