Plants start diverting energy to newer branches. Im assuming you mean interior leaves were yellow. Thats normal. If everything is yellowish, thats a deficiency.

Youv got a pretty short grow season if your plants are heavy in bud. Iv got some plants that just started showing their sex hairs. Iv got all females but most are only forming hairs at the bud sites, but i also have direct sun from 6am-9pm

This time of year is called trans phase, or transition. Youl notice your plants start stretching, growing faster and growth sites get tighter. Depending on strain, most plants dont start day 1 until around the 20th.
