Cal/mag is your plants best friend when growing in coco, i use 3ml per gallon from about 3rd node on.

Coco holds on to a large amount of calcium and does not release it to the plant, so a larger dose ensures they get enough. At least thats what was explained to me when i haf cal/mag deficiancy my first coco grow

Id get the 400 if.... If it was aircooled. If not then id try a 315cmh. I have heard they run way cooler than a 400hps.

If they are tight in the cubes but not showing roots in 7 days i lose the dome to force the roots to do their job.

After 48 hours i crack the vents slightly, after a week i lose the dome. 7 to 10 days roots.
