    Citi Powered Armoire Conversion

Update! A small one anyway... I was noticing these little black spots on the phosphor appearing on some of the COBs, and I got a bit worried. So I flipped the lights on and got the best pic I could using the screen on the back of the camera, for obvious reasons. Well, at least they still...

    Citi 1212s and hlg-320h-c700

Citizen has an excel sheet that will tell you exactly how many volts they need at any amperage and Tc. Don't have a link, but search around a bit, I'm sure I found it here.

How to Secretly Run Ductless A/C at Home?

What's wrong with having a compressor outside? Everyone likes to be cool right? It could be for your living room, who is gonna know? When you see an AC unit outside some house, do you just immediately assume there's a grow going on in there? 99.999% of the population would never even look twice...

Building 1st cob array - driver advice needed!

It won't make any difference either way. Both drivers will power the cobs at the same wattage, though you might be just slightly over voltage on the 100. Are you running 120v or 220v at the wall? The driver output varies depending on input voltage. You might get better answers in the LEDS section.

Should I use reflectors or not?

Would running reflectors on only the outside row of a larger array help to even out PPFD? Or are beam angle and PPFD unrelated?

    Steve's leds commercial grow light

This. These are clearly meant for massive vertical veggie farms, not canna. These guys are smart, not crooks. They took what they've learned and developed a product for a specific market, what's wrong with that? They're not even infringing on this market at all... I'm not into the commercial...

What happens when you run less voltage to led?

Thinking about it more, you're totally right. Apologies man, I was a few beers deep last night.

What happens when you run less voltage to led?

For sure, I just threw out those numbers for an example.

What happens when you run less voltage to led?

That's not true at all. If you run 5 36v cobs in parallel on a CV driver that puts out 36v and 2.1a, you get 420ma per cob. If one of those cobs fails, that 2.1a is now running through 4 cobs, still at 36v, meaning your 4 cobs are now running at 525ma. This is basic math man.

Is Wiring COBs in parallel with constant current safe?

Cobby said it. It is literally impossible to run them in series with those drivers. It isn't inherently dangerous to run cobs in parallel, it's just a different thought process and requires a little more effort. Also, soldering is eeaasssyyyyy. Look up some videos on tinning, very simple...

@CobKits these numbers get multiplied by the efficiency of the chip to get actual PPF numbers right? According to Alesh's excel sheet my CLU038s are at about 4.7 as well.

Problem with heat in grow box

I'm having the same problem right now. These little PC fans just don't have the juice to push the heat out, especially if you're running a carbon filter. Look on Amazon for AC powered PC-style fans, they're designed for server racks but they move about 2-3 times the air of the DC powered...
