I found one on Amazon for about $40 and added it to my shopping list. In is space with limited height, knowing what you're putting out at what distance could be very helpful in addition to giving the grower more flexibility. Great suggestions!

Is there an affordable meter that measures ppfd or is it a calculation based on ppf over a square meter?

That is slick! A couple questions: 1) How is that fan working for you? Would you recommend it? 2) What is it attached to? I can see myself emulating this setup. I just googled 2x2x4 tents and they're out there. It would save me some work that's for sure. Nice!!

Well, I think it's just that I need to construct the light in such a way that it takes the fan/filter into account is all. As I've sketched it out, it looks like I've got about 16" of horizontal space at the very top of the box. I think the heatsinks are about 3" tall but I'm not going to get...

Yes that's the direction I'm going however I have other considerations for the small space and I'm wondering if it could be, for instance, 15" x 15" or 13" x 13" without sacrificing light spread or creating hot spots at a distance of 12" above the screen. I have a fan filter combo that can't be...
