This is not a valid argument. T5 can still grow weed, and probably do it better than those crap fixtures.

MARS Panels are LESS Efficient than HPS, draw a third less than what they advertise, use sub-par parts and drivers, have terrible PAR outside the initial footprint.

Not to mention the lack of light depreciation you see with HPS, the ability to be dimmed safely without harming the lamp, and the slightly better spectrum.

I really like what my Kessil's produce quality wise, they just don't yield that great, which is why I chose to beef out my room with more COB.

Here's the problem with that mentality - You're only looking at one run. When you factor in the savings from wattage, efficiency, and reliability, the ROI on COB Lighting is about a year, tops.

I understand the concept, but in the end, you alluded that the other tech was only marginally better, which it is not. The numbers are all over these forums, especially in the DIY threads.
