Maybe mix the RO with your well water? I use hard well water outdoors as well, but my plants are in the ground and get buffered naturally by the soil.

I have used Zerotol for this issue as well, with great success! It is just supercharged hydrogen peroxide.

I'm pretty sure it is an F2 I made of Pam 15 BX by Family Trees Seeds. It came up in March where I had grow and pollinated a Pam 15 BX last year, so I left it.
