    COB Wiring Troubleshoot Question

Yeah, I'll just have to make a couple runs of wire to add and subtract from the series, I suppose.

    COB Wiring Troubleshoot Question

Alright, half the lamp lights up, the other half does not. Both wired in series, switched inputs to see if it was a problem with the driver. It was not. So, it has to be in the series connection. Examined all the lines, don't see anywhere the wire jacket is stripped and grounding out. I checked...

    630w DE - CMH?

You think so? Assuming a 315 covers about 3x3, 2 would then cover about 6x3, for 18sq/ft. You would have two bulbs to cool. A DE CMH would probably cover a little over a 4x4 for a very comparable footprint in square footage, with only one hood to cool. You don't think the DE CMH would produce...

    630w DE - CMH?

As soon as they make it, I'm all over it. I'm a believer on the CMH, and I'd be really interested to see the footprint in a good air-cooled hood. AFAIK, you want one that cools the interior and doesn't pass air over the bulbs, as the CMH are sensitive to temp shifts. Something to consider when...

    630w DE - CMH?

Well I'll be damned. Yeah, that would work. I'd never buy a ballast from China, though. I'd prefer to use a company that I'm sure I'd be covered on a warranty for. And personally, I'd want to air cool my DE fixtures. The 315 put out enough heat as it is, I'm already wanting to get the conversion...

    12xCXB3590 Passively Cooled

Hey @Netherfly , love the build. I was wondering what you were using for your power inlet! I'm trying to figure out a clean way to make an input box, looking for something exactly like that. Do you have the info on that part, I couldn't find it anywhere in your thread. If you're using the 240s...

    630w DE - CMH?

3100K with enhanced red is probably the best bulb on the market to flower, color wise, imo. Plus it has UV. I don't see the point of flowering under the 4200K when the 3100K is available, unless you're vegging under it too.

    630w DE - CMH?

I have a thread going where I was discussing this. It's made to run on a low freq square, so there is no ballast on the market to power this properly. You can take a DE HPS and dim it to 600, but you're going to burn the bulb up quicker. The only question is how much quicker. I love my CMH, but...

    GC 630 DE CMH

I've only been running clones, tbh. Even still, that's my high water mark, if I can get there, I'll be thrilled. I easily pulled 100g per plant last run, and I had so many stressors. My two black hole plants ended up doing about 6oz a piece with almost no larf. Everything tight and dense... That...

    GC 630 DE CMH

I was thinking 4 315CMH, and two rows of 8 COB (16 total), two on each side of a CMH. CMH hung directly between the row, and the COB pointing in on each side. If I was going to do the DE, I'd do just the 4 long. Either way, it breaks down to about 300W per plant. 10oz plants would be 1G/W, and I...

    wiring cobs parallel

On a 4 lamp bar, I just ran power into a 5 pin Wago, and 4 leads out of it to each COB. Been running them since November with no issues.

    GC 630 DE CMH

Yeah, mostly heat and amperage. I'm not on 220V and only have limited circuit space left. I have 2 CMH already in use. What I'm considering is running those 2, plus two more and doing the COB supplemental on the one row, and on the second set of 8, try using the DE CMH. A single 315 almost...

    GC 630 DE CMH

Yeah, you know, my ideal setup would be a 315 between each plant, and a 3x 3590 bar on each side. I guess I could just run 3 HLG185 with that. So, 6 drivers total @ $55 = 330. 24 COB@ 37 (cutter) = ~900 and 24 heatsinks @ $13 a piece from PLC = $350. So, that would put it at right about 3k for...

    GC 630 DE CMH

Howdy I've been impressed with my 315 CMH, and was plotting and planning for a new space. I'll have room to do two rows of four plants in 10gal pots, with a path in the middle. Last run, two wide took up approximately 6ft wide. My original layout was only 6 plants, and I was going to use 4...

    Michigan Legislature's fall agenda

Just browsed through it. From that language, I didn't see anything that dismantles the current system. It appears as if they aim to render it obsolete and push us from the marketplace, requiring dispos to go through the licensed providers. And I think that was passed this afternoon.

    Organics and PH

Apologies, you are correct. If it's the sulfur that acts as a good pH down, use a bit of neem meal.

    Organics and PH

I've never pH'd my soil, but AgSil or a comparable potassium silicate acts as a pH down. Not sure at what rate you'd have to apply to get the soil there.
