    Shrimp shells in soil

That be cool, watermelon flavor weed! I frequently used different fruit that I have on hand; like apple in a soil recycle, never tasted it though. Like molasses, doesn't make weed sweet. But it does make for a happy micro critter heard and is a decent source of micronutrients.

    Shrimp shells in soil

I got lots of shrimp shells and watermelon in my batch of recycled soil composting right now. Only worry about critter issues. I don't have a problem, so I just toss em in.

    New to auto-flowering

IMHO In order to have sucesss with autos one has to change their thinking. Autos have a very short veg that is on a biological clock. Do everything you can to not slow down and to optimize that biological preset veg time. That's a start, then realizing you can do multiple crops in a season...

    Are Compost Teas Always GOOD?

Nice Strudelheim! Maybe a little bacteria boost the weeks around stretch. Some bio available P leaning EWC or tea. Or not.. Your plants and soil will tell you better than me.. For me in my 5 gallon fabric pots, I find the pots are hard on the BioLife, too fast drying conditions. So my...

    New to auto-flowering

I don't transplant. I start them indoors in 5 gallon fabric pots. At roughly a foot high I move them outside. It seems some veg time in an ideal environment, helps get a larger plant outside. ?

Help my fingers are fricken stuck together like buttcheeks!

THC from trimming is not decarbed and will not get you high. Licking the bowl or spoon from making edibles will! Cleaning hands, me, cheap cooking oil, followed by Dawn soap. Tools, ISO

24/7 Light ON Autos - to maintain temps in winter

It's what Mattymatt said. Also here at RQS seeds: https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-the-perfect-light-schedules-for-autoflowering-cannabis-n319 However, if you want to keep your roots warm like you said in your op then an overhead light is not the best. The best would be some floor...

    Smoking leaves / drying leaves

I make my canna oil with coconut oil. I don't bake or cook with cannabis. Make capsules. (To each their own). Me, I do an oven decarb, 250f 30 min. Then into the Crock-Pot with the coconut oil, and water, simmer for a few days. Either let cool and take the solidified oil off the top our...

Ok this Dinafem Cheese Auto CBD filled 6 32 oz jars. Trimmed some super sticky buds for rolling joints.(enjoy puffing on CBD strains in the day) Whoa.... This ain't no 1 to 2 THC to CBD ratio. This plant was not as advertised. It is a sativa high. A creeper at that. Smoked a whole fat...

    Biochar

Have any suggested links on degree and angle of trench and cycling gasses? Sounds cool. I have done char in a metal garbage can with a few small holes punched in the lid. Toss that can of scraps, (I had cedar) on to a blazing pit fire and bake. First off gassing then a torch of burning...

    Biochar

I wonder where the dividing line between science and marketing is on that pyrolization temp.? I think about that mysterious and amazing Terra preta do Indio, down in the amazon. It's my understanding what they did was pretty low tech. Basically burn brush and waste in low oxogen trenches...

    Biochar

?? Yes, Kingsford brickets are not biochar material.... Indeed that be a bad idea.!! But that hardwood cowboy charcoal is by definition bio char. Biochar is simply burning biological material in a low oxogen environment. I have even burnt and pulverized bones as char. Straw, grass...

can I use local pine forest fungi as an inoculant?

Here what you are saying! I used to add forest soil and lots of other fungi from rotting wood to my mix. For the sake of argument... This stoned mind knows many fungi are quite competitive and aggressive. (Grow oyster mushrooms for market) . This makes me wonder if ecto forest tree myco...

Here is some Grassomatic Med Gnom1 (A CBD 1:1 or 2:1 strain) trimmed and cured. Grown outside in my marine PNW climate. (The white hairs are thistle seed glued on by the sticky goodness.) A little larfy, but sticky, a great smell, citrus and fuel too me. Smoke is OK, no particular flavor...

    Biochar

Cornell University has done some great work on the subject of Terra preta (dark Earth/bio char) Here is the link: http://www.css.cornell.edu/faculty/lehmann/research/terra preta/terrapretamain.html I don't advocate, or did not even read this article all the way, but it is an example of the...

    Biochar

Been playing with Biochar for a decade plus. Buy it by the yard for the farm. Remember, the char is housing for microscopic critters, so small is good. I would say 1/4 inch or less for sure and use the fines. I would go with 1% to 10% of your soil volume. So a cup or two sounds right...

    Cannabis strains for insomnia?

As a 50 something cancer patient, I really appreciate my medical license. No cat and mouse BS. My plants are right out in the open for any farm visitor to spot if they look. I am a respectable citizen of my community, county and state. As far as the Feds go...... Anthony Hopkins in Legend...

can you keep an autoflower alive and continually budding all year round?

Keep a photoperiod mother and pull clones Reveg in most plants is disappointing . I did say most. I have found that land race hot pepper plants frequently make great perennials. Treat em like a rose bush, cut them back in fall, and they will re grow. If you are going to play with reveg on...
