    Outdoor Auto Thread

A No auto expert here. Roughly 20 autos under or in my ( belt..). My short plants may yield but,,, so far bigger plant the better. I am in 5 gallon fabric pots. Even at that I can see some of the bigger autos wanting more .( Thick stems, consumed media, light bags.)

How do you keep buds bright green after harvest?

Yep had wonderful golden weed in the early eighties. Columbian or alcopolco gold? Stuff tasted like smoked sausage, bong rips got us plenty wasted. Have grown strains like old school Speed Queen, that were golden brown cured. Smelled good and tasted good.

I too have huge phenotype varibility with some strains of autos. Height difference no biggy outdoors, but inside those short plants would suffer.

Maybe? My gut thinks the story is much more complicated. Humanrob's garden looks healthy. We're not talking indoor autobuds here. We are looking at fluffy early season outdoor auto plants. Maybe, it's the fact that they finnished near summer solstice, and not in a waning sun of later summer...

Freeze Drying Bud and Commercial Freeze Dryers

Ok I tried the freezer cure with Auto bubblegum. I did a slow dark dry of whole plants with fan leave cut off, sugar leaves lightly trimmed. Roughly a week or a little more for a stem snap. Then destemmed, and boxed in freezer for maybe a week or a little more again. Then into jars that...

Cool, a decade ago before I went back to farming, I used to make nice organic soils like you. I need to stop being lazy and make something more than my generic peat, perlite, coir mix with a little whatever organic fert I have laying around. Yep, need to cook up a batch with some nice charged...

Nice looking plants, see lots of moisture on your lean too greenhouse,. Doing it's job! I notice the one grow bag I see is not all stained white with nutrient salts from over fertilization. I love that about outdoors, don't need to redline the plants, as our grow lights are free.

    Cannabis strains for insomnia?

Vap juice. Interesting. I have struggled with vaporizers got like 5 all fine with bud but not concentrates. My dynavape, which I heat with a torch then vap is best so far, but a pen with home made vape juice concentrates is interesting. I get a tight chest from trying to get enough in me...

I hear you on bag appeal! Yep, you got a bit more sunshine and warmth than me. We got a few commercial outdoor pot growers, but it can be a real gamble on scale. A greenhouse or indoors is more common. IMHO, Autos outdoors in short summer areas is the ticket. Indoors sure why not if you have...

    Cannabis strains for insomnia?

IMHO, (as a self medicating cancer patient) an Indica dominant strain, or hash plant, is a good starting point. They are also good outdoor plants in general too. Kush has worked well, know, just using up some ancient Speed Queen I grew some time ago. More important than specific strain is to...

Humanrob, Are you east or west of the Cascades? Warmer down in OR than me up north, but still on this sunny day thing. That's an early harvest, if you are on the wet side of the mountains, you surely had plenty of May grey, and Junuary/June gloom marine weather. I have the same strain that was...

Cool humanrob, look forward to reports as the season progresses. Just starting to jar after a slow whole plant drying on the first few taken down. Thegremling. . YEP! Indeed I need more light and heat in Western Washington!. (Plants are on South Wall outside of Greenhouse, out of our howling...

Joined just because of this thread. I grow autos outdoors in coastal NW WA. I have a 15 plant medical license. (Cancer) I grow both THC and CBD strains. I popped seeds a few at a time indoors in 5 gallon fabric pots, under grow lights, from April through June. Moved plants outdoors as...
