U should always do a feed with just plain water and then a regular feed you dont need to do nutes with every watering

So y add the cal/mag before everything else wont that mess up the sillica?

It doesn't not near the end from my belief anyways. Just a way of saving nutes. But during the grow i think that it forces the plant to use excess nutrients or not hold as much in its reserves (more so in soil with mycelium) i think it just helps with all around healh of the plant.
