DWC Top Feed. First Grow in over 20 years.. Help, Advice appreciated.

You need a 4in inline fan and you need to blow the exhaust outside. Without it you have stagnant air. https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-CLOUDLINE-T4-Thermostat/dp/B06ZXWN3BG/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=4in+ac+infinity+inline+fan&qid=1623154106&sr=8-4

Fox farm ocean forest, dry amendments, and compost tea??

With indoors, I use a 440watt full spectrum that includes uva. Light reader says about 4000umols (sun gives out 5300) at 12" height, no bleaching from that height so far. For soil I use Coast of Maine:Stonington Blend, comes with mycorrhizal fungi, lobster compost, worm castings, perlite...

DWC Top Feed. First Grow in over 20 years.. Help, Advice appreciated.

If people have only experimented in an subpar way or the incorrect way, do we sum it up as it doesn't work at all? Like hydroguard and regalia would take care of ALL the bad bacteria, but how do we know if no one did it right? Do you have any pics from your 50 grows or harvests? Im very curious...

DWC Top Feed. First Grow in over 20 years.. Help, Advice appreciated.

Yes I do know the difference, the main differences is; hydro doesn't use soil so no pests, explosive root growth, have a much higher veg growth, higher yields, much more ph anal. Soil is easier, but chances of pests(sticky traps for this), yields less (compost teas can change this potentially)...

I Just to topdress. Have you tried experimenting with this? What's wrong with topping off with a organic blend of nutes? Too many dank buds after harvesting maybe? Compost teas and quantum boards seem relatively new, but I only see benefits for this (if done properly with adequate research).

    Water for compost teas

I used tap water I let sit for 24 hours. It depends on the city you live in, some places do have cleaner water. My city's tds reads 80. No issues. Even when I didn't dechroinate the water in the beginging (I know), the plants still held up. Growth was most likely slowed though.

    Coco, Tea and PH

I was looking into hydroponics first before switching to soil (air pumps too loud), regarding pH; if it gets too low or high, nutrient lockout occurs. It's growth is slowed. So after brewing for 24-36 hours, I always pH correct to 6.0 before application. I also use Coast of Maine: Stonington...

Fox farm ocean forest, dry amendments, and compost tea??

Watch Mr. Canucks on youtube (video link below) compost tea video, it is very informative. The measurements below are for a 5 gallon bucket. My compost tea includes; 4 gallons dechlorinated water, 4 tbs root organics terp tea veg or bloom depending on stage, 4tbs unsulphured molasses, 1 tbs...

Don't worry, your plants won't be too far from that point! It'll grow great, but a few tips for perfect; 1)4in Ac infinity & 4in carbon filter; to control humidity, blow the exhaust out and smells. 2)Tent or reflective mylar around the plant bounces light more. Trellis netting would be easy to...

24 days and still no roots

These plants are pretty resilient, as long as they're not dead dead they can come back. The calmag and hydroguard is a must, they should grow very quickly now and anytime . I initially wanted to do dwc but the air pump for 12 plants are way too loud. Switched to soil the next day and was glad...

That's pretty high ppm for that stage, you want to aim for 300-700ppm. Try adding hydroguard or mycorhizae Fungi to stimulate root growth. Always check pH as well.

The 2x2 tent will fit that bucket perfectly. Life is easier growing with tents and you don't have to mess with your ceilings and walls too. You don't need it necessarily, but the indoor environment is much easier to control in a tent. Its up to you, 2x2s go for $50-80 depending on quality, I...

Uhh if it's not too late, get a 2x2 grow tent, so you can adjust the light height accordingly. Would be much easier to set up a inline fan and carbon filter as well.

24 days and still no roots

On scale of wetness, I like keeping it around a 6-8 out of 10 (based on a cheap soil reader I bought from amazon.) I don't like overwatering in case of mildew and root rot, but hydroguard takes those worries away. I water every about 24-36 hours 3x a week, 1 times with compost tea, and 2 times...

24 days and still no roots

Hydroguard kills bad bacteria, not all bacteria. I always add this after dechroinating, and before brewing for 36 hours. https://gardenerspath.com/how-to/organic/controlling-pathogens-with-organic-biocontrol-agent-bacillus-amyloliquefaciens/

Apparently 'root organic: terp tea bloom' does have crab, fish and bat shit. I will be looking into alternatives, thank you. If I do not pH correct it to 6.0 before application, my soil pH will shoot to 7.5+. Sure some microbial life will perish, but not all. At least the water isn't useless and...
