    Light Burn, Nutrients, or Overwatering?

I think I put 2.5ml Cal-Mag per gallon (half the reccomended strength listed on the bottle). Even going into the third week of flower I can still supercrop with no issues? The stems seem pretty thick, which worries me that they may crack during a supercrop. So does the yellow tips of the top...

    Light Burn, Nutrients, or Overwatering?

My plants are 2 weeks into flowering, and they have stretched like crazy. The new growth is lighter green than the old growth, but the highest leaf tips seem to be especially yellow. I'm growing in coco/perlite (%15 perlite) and I'm using 170ppm Cal-mag mixed with 450ppm of GH Trio (so a total...

    Defoliating in flower?

I switched my plants to 12/12 lighting 5 days ago, and they have stretched and filled in quite a bit in the last few days. Many fan leaves are touching, causing transpiration to get trapped and form wet spots on leaves. Many lower bud sites are shaded by higher fan leaves. Should I remove some...

Strange Pest? Can anyone identify this?

I am not "stressing", and the photo just shows one flake. I couldn't find a photo that shows the many flakes that I am seeing, so I just showed one as an example. I'm asking these questions so I can learn things, not because I have any worry about the plants.

Strange Pest? Can anyone identify this?

Do you agree that the pictures in the original post could be salts? It doesn't show up too well in photographs, but here is one picture of a flake: Here is one zoomed in 80x. They don't all look identical to this though, which is why I don't think it is a bug. Maybe perlite dust? Salts?

Strange Pest? Can anyone identify this?

Wow, I had no idea that was possible. I think you nailed it, since it does appear to be the same color as the GH Micro that I'm feeding with and it is also crystalline like a salt. I have white flakes on the tops of fan leaves that comes off very easily if I shake the leaf and looks crystalline...

Strange Pest? Can anyone identify this?

I have some holes/tears and rust colored spots on some leaves, but I think that is due to physical damage from me SCROGing, a calcium deficiency, and delicate leaves that tear easily due to a few days of 10% humidity. I am really weirded out by these blobs on that one stem, and if it isn't a bug...

Strange Pest? Can anyone identify this?

I am growing in a coco-perlite mix, and I am in my first week of 12/12 lighting. I just found these strange "scale-like" blobs on the stem of a fan leaf. Is this an insect or insect feces that anyone has seen before? I've attached pictures of the blob at 80x magnification. It seems the larger...

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

Good to know! Does the coloring of the new growth look normal to you? If you think you see any deficiencies please let me know.

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

I didnt FIM, I topped them about 2 weeks ago. I may have physically damaged the newest growth when I was working them through the SCROG though. Would FIM-ing cause the issues I'm seeing?

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

Would they be visible under 80x magnification? I've looked over many damages and healthy leaves on both sides and I haven't seen any mites or mite feces. The other strange thing is for the last 5 weeks the problems seem to stop for a while, and then problems appear again a week or more later. If...

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

I pH the nutrients to 5.8-6.0, and the runoff typically is around 6.2 the next day. I did a slurry test (with topsoil, since I didn't want to damage roots) and it measured pH 5.8. My meter has been calibrated too.

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

Thank you both for your advice. I'm still stumped on the holes in the leaves though. I have looked over the plants many times and have not seen any sign of caterpillars or moths (or any other insect). I had caterpillars on my outdoor plants last year, but I've been pretty careful not to bring...

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

Would heat issues cause the holes in the leaves too? I thought the plants should be happy at 80 F, but maybe they are not. Is this a common problem with 80 F temperatures (granted, the temperature at the leaf surface may get up to 85 F maximum)? I did have a few days where the relative humidity...

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

The temperatures range between 65-82F, so are the temps too high or too low? Can you elaborate on the other problems you commented about?

Holes, deformed growth, and no pests found. What is causing this?

Setup: I am growing 4 OG #18 plants in 80/20 coco coir/perlite, and I am in week 5 of veg. I am using a 500 Watt (true wattage) LED 32" above the top canopy. I am using GH Flora trio as my nutrients, and I did not use any Cal-Mag supplements for the first four weeks since I tried to buffer the...
