I would think your only real option for seedless smoke is growing autos. if you grow autos early enough in the season before the wild hemp matures and sends pollen for a mile you should get good smoke. otherwise it will probably always be seeded growing outside.

I thought about farming crickets for frass and chicken feed, but leaning towards mealworms, wife doesnt like the idea of escape. Plus like a worm farms or compost you turn waste into something useful with bugs.

I don't think that's good enough drainage. if it takes a few hours to not be seen on the surface then how long does it take to work through the soil? that will stress the plant and maybe why you are getting hermies. that planter have functioning drain holes? since you're all seeded up anyway...

I have eaten crickets before, more then once, and they are not to bad. probably eaten plenty of insect frass too, although not intentionally.

Autos usally take me 10-12 weeks, breeders time are usally off. At least my experince. The plant decides when its ready I dont flush, some do, your choice I like to run a small exhaust fan 24/7 cause humidty can build up. All other fans timed with lights.

That looks like phosphate issue. Any chance the problem plants arent getting enough o2 in the water. That can trigger p lockout.
