generally the plant will grow around 2-3 times it's vegetative height.

it makes sense to shorten the day time and lengthen the nights because it will tell the plant to put all it's energy into making flowers. Otherwise 24 hour day would only induce veg growth again. and again some people even say to use a long dark period for harvesting...try and learn.

lumens can't be added up, only watts. so you have say 1800 lumens and 9000 watts.

i'd stay with the stores with more reputation even if you have to dish out a couple extra bucks...

i've heard of a shorter light period with more dark hours...use like a 20 hour period...8/12 then start up the 8 again...it'd be a bitch with the timer but i was told it does work.

looking at the first set of pics i noticed that i had the same symptoms with one of my plants...then seeing the second set of pictures and noticing that the stems were indeed purple-ish i think it may be the same problem i had. a few leaves also showed the same "spots" that look like light burn...

give it some time, they usually are stressed for a day or more

some strains double or even triple during flowering...so vegging to 3' 6" may be a bit to long.

wouldn't it produce some amount of co2 from the burning of the carbon and would therefore aid in growth, somewhat.

not a very great lamp for the veg stage but it'd definitely be a lot better than the halogen. look for something that is full spectrum or 6500k to have a more successful vegetative stage. that lamp would be perfect for flowering however.

NY but that is probably just a very good deal i get...30 dollars + an 8th is probably more realistic.

we basically have only mids and i get a pretty good deal, 20 an 8th, 70 a half, 130 a zip.
