The reflectors are superexpensive, translucent and maybe not worth the investment. Have you thought of painted aluminium bowls?

I agree, though I would never build an (expensive) LED-Setup that doesn't exceed the highest possible HPS efficiency, which roughly is an initial 42% (so no Veros above 50W). There are, of course, some additional benefits for using LED over HPS, like better light directionality, better spectrum...
