Setting up Veg in Garage looking for Ideas on keeping it warm in winter. Insulated Grow tent or build out?

So im setting up a 15x15ish size veg room in Vermont in a garage so it gets prety cold in winter, stays above freezing all year but prob gets down to 35 degrees F. Anyone aware of insulated type grow tents or have any ideas of how to insulate one. Or am I better off just framing out a room with...

    McShnutz's Muts [No-Till/ water only]

Looks really nice, like I said in the other thread Ive had a hard time with my organic coco using liquid nutes (bio bizz). I might have to try your method with mixing in the true living type amendments. Would be awesome if you would share your full recipie with amounts added. Do you pH the...

    Is this magnesium deficiency ??

Looking healthy. What are your medium ratios for coco to your compost and/or whatever else you are running in your mix? And do you feed just water or nutes aswell?

    Is this magnesium deficiency ??

It's just not the ideal medium they thrive in, they evolved to survive in soil for millions of years. I dont exactly know why but im sure everything from texture, water holding capacity, density etc all play a role as well as the lower pH you have to run in it. And im not sure that microbes...

    Is this magnesium deficiency ??

It look pretty healthy, might have had a tiny bit of stress likely from a slight pH issue thus blocking out calcium, magnesium or some other nutrient. And I do somewhat agree with Wattzzup with organics not being for coco. Yes you can pull it off but its a very fragile/sensitive system when it...

    2nd grow need help.

Those plants look small for being in 5gal pots and needing water every 4 days. Let them get very light before watering, your better off under watering the over esp if you look at your plants regularly youll imediatly see the droop from being too dry and it will barely affect anything. Of...

Rooted clones are drooping and yellowing a couple days after transplant from plugs to soil.

If anyone is reading this post down the line for a similar issue... I found the problem was a combination of to low humidity and having the lights to close/bright for directly after a transplant from clone plugs. I upped the humidity to 50-65 as well as cut back the lights/ raised them a few...

Anyone ever use liquid co2 tank for supplimenting co2 instead of a burner or gas tank?

I never really ran co2 in my rooms but recently purchased a CO2 burner and had great results keeping the PPM at 1400 for the first half of flower. But damn does it give off a ton of heat. I stay away from the regular gas cylinders as I would need to replace it prety much every day or two. But...

    Cloning questions

Also after looking at it again, you need do cut off all the leafs other than the apical tip and 1-2 smaller leaves below that. If you leave two be sure to cut 50% or so off the larger leaf. All of those leafs are taking in light and requiring way to much water with no root system to gather it...

    Cloning questions

600 Watt HPS is the a terrible light for clones even if its far away. My guess is thats your problem. Youre better off with a regular household flouresent bulb from lowes hung a foot above the clones. Not in the same room as your 600.

Rooted clones are drooping and yellowing a couple days after transplant from plugs to soil.

Im thinking maybe I went to intense with the light for freshly rooted clones. I have two 4ft-8 bulb T5 units and they were only 5-6 inches away from the tops of the plants added with the low humidity was maybe my problem... I misted them down, turned lights to 50% and raised them a couple feet...

Rooted clones are drooping and yellowing a couple days after transplant from plugs to soil.

Yes I've done the spinosad dunk regulary for past few years and never had Issues with it.

    Runoff @ 1400 ppm

The organic soil alone could be reading 1400 ppm and organic ppm can be much higher than when using salts and really dosent give you an accurate reading for nutrient strength. If it looks happy dont mind the number.

Rooted clones are drooping and yellowing a couple days after transplant from plugs to soil.

I used the brown clone plugs for a batch of clones with clonex rooting gell. Two weeks later the majority were ready to transplant. I transplanted them in small pots of bio bizz light mix soil and a half a low strenght amout of bio gro and hygrozyme as well as some microbes. I dunk the clone...

Mixing soil with coco for medium

Hoping for better results. My theory was that the roots would like the air;water ratio better with a substantial amount of coco in the medium. I feel like peat compacts to much and has lacking oxygen for the roots.

Growing Organic w/ Bio Bizz in 50/50 peat coco PH of medium and run off low

Improper beause im mixing it 50/50 with peat or because I'm allowing it to dry out more than you should for 100% coco??

Growing Organic w/ Bio Bizz in 50/50 peat coco PH of medium and run off low

Yeah im starting to thing the same thing. I always liked having all the coco in for the quicker drybacks and easy absorbtion during waterings. Felt like I could get the best of both worlds which I do about 1/3 of the time just cant get consistant with it unfortunately.

Growing Organic w/ Bio Bizz in 50/50 peat coco PH of medium and run off low

Promix is the peat I use with mother earth Coco but it just seems like its to sensitive to pH where you have to have it very dialed in to catch the best absorbtion for Calcium and Magnesium at the same time. Might just go back to soil.

Mixing soil with coco for medium

I been doing 50/50 coco peat (each with perlite) for a while now and strugle with it half of the time. I run organic Bio Bizz liquid nutes with benificials, hygrozyme, molassis and GO CaMG ph 5.8-6.2 in 5 gallon buckets and hand water every 3-4 days letting bukets get prety dry before watering...
