Still sounds hot. Per cubic foot it's closer to tablespoons than cups. I have some bio- fish here. The application rate for outdoor containers is 2 tbsp per gallon or 5-10 lbs per cubic yard. There is 200 gallons per cubic yard so your much closer than I thought off the top of my head. Seems...

Maybe your right. I only see that OP says 400/gallon pots. Not how many. It's still an awful lot of fertilizer.

Did the fertilizer amounts really not jump out at anyone? 320lbs of fertilizer in a 400 gallon pot?

Also keep in mind that a good compost will also be supplying just about everything a grower tries to get in their pots. From nutrients, both macro and micro, to bacteria and mycorrhiza.

That sounds like a extremely large amount of fertilizer for a 400 gallon pot. Many of the items listed will apply at rates close to 5lb per 100 square feet of garden. Each 400 gallon pot is 52 cu ft. Your mixing items that will supply NPK multiple times so you should apply even less of each. If...

    ganga girls northern grow

It's gonna be awesome to compare our grows in the end. We both are going about things in very much the same manner in two totally different climates and areas. IMO it would be nice to see more people learning to work with native soils. I've had several growers here tell not to do it and others...

About 400 gallons. 48-50" diameter and 20" deep. I bought 24" x 25' rolls of wire at Wal-Mart for $11 and a 100' roll of landscaping fabric. I went with the grey to fight the soil heating up to much.

No sweat , carry on. I've walked similar bogs. Scared myself half to death dropping a leg through while duck hunting solo. Twas a heart thumper getting back on top fully. On the other hand we built entire duck blinds on top of the same area.

Hehe , I dug holes too. The soil is worked 12- 20" below the pots also.

The 400 gallon pots are $35 or so a piece. I did three for $38 and have enough to do one more with wire and three more from fabric roll. So maybe $50 for six instead of $210.

Turned my piles into raised beds with chicken wire and landscaping fabric. Added one bale of peat to each. Have to replant the beans now.

Seedlings under 24/0 going outside May 15. Options?

Yeah, I agree. It's not a problem with young plants. I was more trying to point out that the blanket advice that light schedule isn't a concern is bad advice. It does not apply across the board. Also clones can have same reaction. Which makes sense because in theory the clone is the age of the...

On my final two slots I have a variety going to choose from. Some clones some seed. Orange Skunk, Space Queen and a Pineapple Diesel cross are at top of the list. These are all much smaller but will prob be fairly standard transplant size come June.

The next two are Mammoth on left and Nightmare OG on right, again unknown crosses. While shorter I'm liking the structure on these two more.

First two are Death Valley OG on left and Mammoth on right. Unknown baby daddies. About 32" tall and equally wide, prob wider. Should easily be 4-5' wide tip to tip as soon as they get tied down outside.

Seedlings under 24/0 going outside May 15. Options?

I'm of the opinion that many people in this thread are quite lucky. Location and planting date are going to have a lot to do with the outcome. I've always found that more mature plants are more sensitive to time changes. So if you have really mature plants that go from 24/0 to 14/10, the...
