Yeah the air to the light hood is from the room around the tent. It's in a spare basement room so it's not used other than for growing. It's summer so it's not being heated and it's always cool down there so a/c isn't being used.

My setup is like this 6" Ducting from room air > light hood > 6" fan > 6" ducting > Y connector > outside vent Also: 4" carbon filter > 4" fan > 4" ducting > damper > Y connector > outside vent (Carbon filter and 4" fan are inside tent)

When the 6" fan is running it is going to the Y connector and out the window vent I have set up. But if the 4" fan isn't running (and the 6" was running)....then I thought that there would be a possibility that some of the air going to the Y connector could make its way down the 4" ducting back...
