The aphids will die and fall off as the plant dries. I also had some this season. Doesn't bother me If you have plants indoors and you don't want to risk spreading then that is a realistic concern and you might want to keep them in the garage until dried.

Definitely chop. Why risk losing it all for a few more days? And its not like the finished product transforms into incredible smoke by lasting a few more days. And the plants won't grow much in poor weather. Every reason says chop now Buds look good!

Right now I'm watering like you but wanting to change and wondering the same thing. Have you checked out SIP containers? I haven't used them yet but sounds like watering is easier and less frequent--and with faster bud growth.

yes there does appear to be some pm on the single leaf on the left side bud.

Appreciate all the advice. Decided to pull 2/3 of the crop today. I would rather harvest something in good shape than push it further and risk bud rot. I am still curious, anyone know how much time between bud rot infection and the time the symptoms are visible?

There are two varieties of pm that tend to exhibit. The fuzzy stuff and this stuff that looks like dried milk droplets. Its not clear if you have pm. If you have sprayed anything it could be the residue from that. Its not humidity spots. If you haven't sprayed anything, it is likely pm. Good...

Also in the LA area. Congrats on your grow! Looks tasty! It looks like most of the pm is on the lower growth. If it were me I would consider harvesting soon before it spreads to. those delicious colas. You can try spraying but at this point you likely won't kill the pm all the way.
