    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

Yeah. I for sure wasn’t angling for a freebie, so that was really above and beyond what I expected.

    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

Here what the breeder from Humboldt Seed Company said about the above plants. It really doesn’t make any sense, but hey, they offered me a free pack of seeds of any strain they produce. Our breeder Nat said that the supplemental light was more than likely the cause of the flowering early...

Should I Be Defoliating at This Point?

thats what I do. This week and next are the last weeks I thin out unwanted branches. I lollipop and then take out branches I know will produce airy, little buds I don’t want to mess with, then on as many of the remaining branches as I can I trim up 1/3 of the way. I’m pretty much done with...

Check this out, I posted these on another thread. These pics are from this morning, I have no idea why they are so advanced for the end of July, I look every day twice a day for signs of Hermie, but I can’t find any.

    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

Yeah.. I’ve been lazy on that front. I’ve been down with Covid for the past 15 days and still testing positive. This shit wiped me out!

    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

Here’s some pics of my other plants, starting to show some stress for 4 straight days above 100 and forcast for 3 more 100+ degree days. Been adding some organic liquid kelp to their watering. The plant in the ground by the sunflowers is a nearly 8’ tall Blueberry muffin, the one with the fence...

    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

They we’re put outside May 15th. They were getting 17 hours total light (In my greenhouse with natural and supplemental lighting). They’re getting 10+ hours of direct sunlight a day. My 5 other plants (different strains) all went through the exact same process and are all perfect. Here’s the pic...

    Weird plant! Possible Hermie?

I also noticed that something (maybe a rodent) has gnawed at the outer skin or bark of the lower stalk. Hasn’t touched any of my other plants. it’s always been a weird looking plant with strange branch development. it’s the only Pistachio plant I kept. this is the other Pistachio I have a friend.

    Compost Tea question.

Thank you, I just wasn’t sure if I should try to beef the P/K during flower, my plants are looking super healthy even through this 100+ degree heat we’ve had for 3 days and it looks to continue for 4 more. They are sucking up the water though!!

    Compost Tea question.

I’ve done some more searching. It sounds like manure and bone meal are the answer. I followed the Oregon State U compost tea bubbler plans, but I’m using a food grade 50 gallon drum. I am using the bag they recommended, it’s not cheap, I think I could have made my own easy enough, but I saw it...

    Compost Tea question.

Well… besides the microbial benefits to the soil compost tea also contains N-P-K. I’m just interested in boosting P &K. For the flowering stage.

    Compost Tea question.

I’m fairly new to the compost tea/living soil scene, I’m learning like I’ve learned to grow over the past 20 years… Trial and error! My tea ingredients include local organic compost, worm castings, Sweetlix Sweet Cane, DTE bio-live, DTE Neem seed meal, DTE trace minerals (can’t remember the...

    Whose hot now?

The only consolation to the heat in our area of the PNW is that the humidity stays around 30-35%. We’ve had a great summer so far, only one three day heat wave, but next week doesn’t look fun!

Oregon Diesel is touchy that way, I grew it for about 5 years! Great early finishers, nice smoke! But I believe to get the strain to finish so early it was crossed with an auto. I never put mice outdoors until late May and I kept my supplemental lights at 16 hours so that it wasn’t a huge...

Outdoor upper leaves taco upward any fixes for this issue

FYI. I have 6 plants, it’s 96 degrees 29% humidity here and 5 of my plants are looking up at the sun loving the heat and 1 plant is looking a little wimpy.

Outdoor upper leaves taco upward any fixes for this issue

That’s just a little heat stress, be careful of over watering, it’s better to let them dry out a bit and ask for water than it is to over water. sticking to a regular schedule is a good practice, but weather doesn’t stick to a schedule, so it’s good to just know your plants and know when they...

    Oregon Outdoor 2022

Yeah. It’s weird, I popped the seeds and the other 4 are not growing like this. The new branch growth literally grows straight up parallel to the branch it grows from. don’t really know how to think out the branches.
