Watts do not always equate to heat thrown into a room. Certain factors such as insulators and efficiency play a big role. Higher spectrums of light 700nm+ travel in sharper curves producing more friction and more heat by a large %. (Hard for a high idiot to explain)

Test this, buy two 100 watt lights, one being a heat lamp the other being a regular bulb. Put them in separate boxes with a thermometer. Come back to me with an answer as to why the one with the heat bulb is hotter. Both use the same watts.
