Running 2 plants in a 4 square foot cabinet and harvesting one a month, I get 4 to 5 sometimes up to 6 ounces a month.
Organic soil and 220 watts of COB. I'm sure I could get more if I did 1 plant in the whole area but I do it perpetual so 1 plant takes more than half the space in the cabinet...
I don't use cal/mag anymore, I went to epsom salts for the magnesium. I have plenty on calcium in my organic soil through the bone meal. I never stop using it. Maybe not for the last week before a chop but by then I don't care if they're going to start showing a deficiency. LED makes the ladies...
Yep. In my opinion, mainlining is the way to go. I mainline and use a screen if necessary.
This plant was taken to 8 tops and has not required any additional training to make it as shown.
You're a mess. In my opinion, of you're going to do a photo, it's almost mandatory to top at least once. Thin that shit down and try for more top colas. I am pretty much addicted to mainlining now so maybe I'm just talking out of my ass. Hard to argue with results though.
ScrOG is, in reality...
The small stuff on the bottom and inside. You'll see what I mean after harvest... the inside leaves could be thinned, it's dark in there and the airflow is almost nonexistent. Open it up a little. A little, you can always take another leaf later if you need to. I do not advise taking any more...
Dude, no offense, but what the fuck is going on in there? That's the lankiest skinniest plants I've ever seen.
What's the light you are using and how big is your tent? How big are the pots and what soil are you using?
Sorry if this is in the thread already, but it looks like you could use a...
I don't mean to jack the thread or anything, just wanted to show a pic of one that I mainlined out to 8 tops. No ScrOG or LST or anything, just how it trained itself.
That's what I've been doing, starting my autos inside in 5 gallon buckets and letting them get about 6 inches tall before putting them outside.
I'm doing it more for frost danger though.
Right, if you want a SeaOfGreen, you could conceivably have 12 plants in there. Or, if you wanted to have 2 plants in Rubbermaid totes that are vegged for 2-3 months then that's an option too.
I like to mainline out to 8 or 16 tops and then flip. Doing it like that you could have 4 to 6 plants...
There are too many factors to properly predict that.
Room size, airflow, light quality and density, soil composition, etc. It's tough to compete with the sun.
Nice work. I can definitely appreciate a well worded and completely coherent post every now and then. Good job.
My only criticism would be purely my personal preference. I like to have the ability to crank up my drivers and really saturate the canopy with light. I'd probably pop in 2 more Vero29...
LED efficiency is just the value of how much light is given off at a specific current.
For example if LED A consumes 50 watts of power and gives off 6000 lumens then a different light, LED B, that consumes the same 50 watts might give off only 5400 lumens because it is less efficient at that...
An HLG 60/700 would push 25 watts each to 3 3590s. For the price, I'd run bridgelux V18 chips. Small tradeoff in efficiency but you're really blasting that area with light either way.
