Well what can i say. The hydro plant is now 12" tall and the soil is 8.5". I've topped up the res with about 7 litres of water and ppm was about 330, and ph of 6.0. I then added 5ml of Ionic hydro bloom and about 3ml of Ionic hydro boost. PPM went up to 420. So will keep an eye on the ppm...
Its not much, but not bad for a 1st grow on a window sill. Just gotta wait for the trichomes to go 75% over the entire plant. Or so I hear. Oh and its 43 inches high!!
If any of you want to follow a thread to do with 2x auto berries. One in soil one in hydro, click on link below. Should be harvesting around mid November. Will update every now and then and will be doing wet/dry weight when harvest time is here. And the differences i found between soil and...
Below is a link for my grow thread in the newbie forum.
Just wondered if there was anyone out there that could maybe have a quick look. If theres any advice that could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Up-canned the soil plant earlier. I watered with nutes last night just with tomorite. I then watered the new soil and then placed the plant in the whole in the 11 litre pot. I just hope I haven't shocked her, and I hope she grows bigger now. Although I doubt it will catch up with the hydro...
Hi TacoM, just read your post about how to get started. I had the same problem last feb 2009. Basically get some seeds, pots, soil oh and a bottle of tomorite or any tomato feed for plants. Then basically grow on your window sill, thats what I did. I grew 7 Northern lights from seed. And...
I know earlier in this thread I said I was worried about the hydro being stunted compared with the soil plant. But dam look at the difference now! That has practically happened overnight. Daniels, what is up-can? Sounds like you re-pot the plant in a pot the same size!!!!!!
I changed the...
Checked the res this morning and ppm was 760, so added some ph6.0 water. Since I lowered the ppm the lower leaves look like there lowering. The top leaves a you can see are still reaching sky high. So the problem is definately too much nute or lockout problem. The soil grow is causeing no...
Yes gumball, I have a airstone in there. I try to keep the ph to around 6.0-6.2. Am changing the water sat or sun and the leaves are still poking upwards quite alarmingly. My ph tool i use is a simple kit i got with the flo grow. You take a 2ml pippette of water and squirt it into the little...
Well I have just topped up the resevoir as it was getting low with about 8 litres of 6.0ph, couple of days old water. Tank is only 17 litres!!! PPM is now 650, and i think that will be enough. Sunday I will change the water and as the leafs are still sticking up in the air i will just add...
It must be a lockout then. I have red/purple branches which means lack of nutes. And sticking up leaves means, too much nutes or a lockout. So I take it I should just put plain 6.0ph water in the resevoir for a few days or so. What causes the lockout?
Sorry I forgot to add pics earlier. As you can see above the hydro is definately getting bigger than the soil. The hydro plants branches/leaves are sticking up way too much. I'm guessing this could be a problem due to lack of nutes?
Yippee, the pistils are showing. The plants are 3.5" tall...
May have a word with my local hydro shop about maybe doing that gumball. Just checked the ladies and the ppm was 360. Went to the local grow shop and he recommended a ppm of about 850 to 950. I bought some grow, bloom and boost nutes and got a cfl 2700k red spectrum bulb. When I got home I...
Purple or red stems Jon. What about the branches off of the stem. I don't think it would be the coldness during the night as the lights are on all night an temps are a cosy 83c in their (I just checked). Do you think I should add some more nitrozyme? PPM in the res atm is 360. Shouldn't I...
Anothr thing I forgot to mention in my last update. On the 3rd pic I have taken a pic of the leafs branch. There is a dark red line up the middle, is that some indication of nute deficiency or another problem that has arose? Am not too worried as the plant won't die, well I hope not, just...
