The only lime I could find that was not quick lime is the Pelletized dolomite lime. So I got the pelletiized. I'm on the east coast. I wouldn't even know where to find oyster shell flour lol so how much lime would you suggest for a 3 gallon pot?
That's the problem to all the perlite around here is miracle grow perlite so it has nutrients in it also and the perlite doesn't help any the one I got going now is 25 percent perlite and it doesn't help with ph. I'm using the vermiculite more to buffer the ph then to aerate the soil. And right...
Even the seed starting mix around her has miracle grow fertilizer so I just grabbed a bag of vermiculite that should do the same thing as seed starting mix
Okay guys for the past two grows I have had issues with lockout and ph. I use 50/50 mix of fox farm ocean forrest and happy frog. At first I thought the low run off was due to me adding to much nutrients. Well Im germinating a new seed now so I went ahead and put some soil in a pot just to test...
It's on the way! The last harvest was harsh as shit probably because I didn't flush well and I use fox farm so I'm switching to General organics and final phase lol
Sorry to bring this thread back up I was just going to ask you about the final phase. I was looking it up it seems to have change to flawless finish. Is that right or is that a different product? Everyone seems to be using it for hydro are you doing soil? Also do you only use it one time or how...
I actually don't even have a drip tray I usually just get a towel and let the runoff go on the towel but this time I just picked the pot up and let it drip into a glass cup.
It's not really a tan color it's mostly clear light green kind of like the color of my nutrient water. I'll try the plain water for the next four waterings though. It really only has like 3 weeks left so hope she can hold on. I might just give plain water for the rest of the time. I guess I'm...
Okay so I just fed the ph going in was 6.5 the ppm was 935. I gathered the runoff in a cup the runoff ppm was 1540 and the runoff ph no shocker here 5 again. Most of that going in was my ph up every time I add ph up the ppm shot up a couple hundred. I'm almost better off just feeding at the low...
I upped the ph of my water to about eight and the run off was still 5 and that was yesterday, I'm gonna have to figure that out and I'll check the ppm of my runoff I didn't get one with an EC meter and I don't know the conversion for this one.
so my meter just came in today and the Ppm of my water is only 74. Mayber it's not a lockout and I'm just starving them? I mixed up a butrient solution at the strength I usually feed them and even then the ppm came out to be 435 so you think I need to just up the dose on nutrients?
I upped my water ph to about 8 and the run off was still at 5 I don't know what to do to fix it I'm going to try and put some more dolomite like and see if that helps
