Anyone familiar with using FFOF & FFHF? I am going to use a ½-½ mixture in a 3 gallon pot for my next lady. Also going to add about 30% perlite. From your experience, do you recommend anything else be added to the medium right from the get go such as: worm castings, coffee grounds, epsom salts...

I have Wilma in half happy frog, half roots organics. Since I saw a little leaf burn a few days ago I am not adding nutes or anything. I do have FF grow big, earthworm castings tea and liquid seaweed in the cabinet, but not using them. I'm going to just use plain water her next few...

my little hubbabubbasmelloscope seed will be grown in FFOF and 30% perlite...that is whenever she GETS here. I have no patience. I check Wilmas water PH before watering (6.5), and check ph of her soil (6.0). Now, what is checking runoff and what is ppm/ec? More to check? More probes or meters?

I have a 3 gallon pot. I watered with 1/2 gallon of water a few days ago and had major run off. Next time (prob in a few days as it is still "moist") I will water with less and see what happens. Also, no seaweed for a while, and I will be sure not stick my finger in there anymore. naughty me. ;)

OMG....I have the funny feeling that was very very dirty, no pun intended. But somehow it DID get my full attention! LOL

well burn spot has not spread, and actually looks better today. Pot is still a little moist when I insert my finger down to the knuckle, so still not going to water or anything. just letting her be :-)

yes, i spray her now and again with water and the liquid seaweed. hmmmmmmm

Thank you guys so much :-) My question has always been, how much to water in a 3 gallon pot? I was told till I see runoff, then dont water again till pot completely dry.

the ones I mentioned are tiny and for the jars, when drying and curing :-)

I havent purchased them yet....they are just on my WANT TO GET list, which as of now is 2 pages long. I feel like I am a hundred years from the trim, dry, cure phase :-)
