I mixed up the medium for my next grow tonight. I used stuff I had lying around (my wife is an organic market gardener). The only thing I purchased was the earth work castings. The promix (Organik w/ mychroriza) has a fair bit of perlite in it, but I wanted to add more. The 5 stores in my area...
Hi guys! I've gotten a lot of help here and I've come up with a recipe for my first "supersoil". I'm hoping you guys can let me know if I did good, or if I'm missing anything? The recipe is more or less based on what I have laying around and what's available at the local garden center and...
Thanks for the info! Maybe a dumb question, but if I make a mix like this, is it still considered an organic/soil grow since there is no top soil included?
Thank you for your very detailed answer! We do make our own compost to a certain extend, but we generally buy it from a local Mennonite by the truck load (about 30 yds/year).
Basically what I'm hearing you saying, is to hold back on the amendments and fertilizer for the first while because the...
Yeah, shes my growing mentor. She grow 150 tomato plants in a 50/50 mix of promix and compost right now, but I think there is a better way for cannabis.
Thank you! I really appreciate it. I'll have to see if I have anything around. My wife is a professional gardener, so I usually have a bunch of stuff available :p Otherwise, I'll check my local garden center. Have an awesome night!
Hi guys! I want to try growing organic and I figured I could do it with what I have laying around at home in my greenhouse. I plan on adding 4-4-4 Gaia Green fertilizer, granular K-Mag, granular boron and calcium powder (volatenite) as well.
Does that sound like a decent soil-mix / "supersoil"...
Hi guys. I'm a relatively new grower currently growing 5 autoflowers in my 4x4 tent. A really good deal on a 4x2 with a nice light came up on FB Marketplace and I couldn't not get it, so now I have a 4x2' tent as well.
What would you guys do? Grow auto flowers in the 4x2 and do a scrog net in...
I tried the toaster oven thing and it sucked. Fluctuate wildly in temperature. If your oven is within 15F it's good in my mind. Keep a meat thermometer in there and open the oven door if it creeps past 240f or whatever the upper temp is.
Hi guys! New grower, first post.
I recently got myself a 4x4' grow tent, lights, fans etc. to grow some good bud in my basement. Trying to save some money and have fun growing.
i have a bunch of different stuff laying around that I use in my vegetable garden and I'm wondering if its "enough"...
