Late start of seed in Southern NE

Light is not just light. You know that, so why tell yourself that?? There is black hole of difference between outdoor light vs indoor light. Even during a storm event. I am of the mindset that environment changes like that only harm a plant via stress. Protect it from the winds, but ride it out.

Late start of seed in Southern NE

I have a sativa dom that I dropped in a pot late. It's barely 2ft and slowly vegging. Based on light cycle, I'll get to 13 hrs of sun in September. If a female, she'll flower out nicely on her own. Late or early, light cycle will naturally get you to flower when the plant is supposed to get...

    Anyone’s plants budding yet ?

I'm at mid stretch with tons of pistils already. It's been a perfect summer in Wisconsin so far.

What’s up with these weird buds.

As long as you continue to see flower development and no problems, I wouldn't worry. Looks healthy.

Can you water plants in the ground with a hose?

A blessing that I don't even think twice about until I am somewhere else.

Can you water plants in the ground with a hose?

Could be. I would be more inclined to test well water, whereas I don't even think about it with city water.

Can you water plants in the ground with a hose?

If you are not using well water, and it's not treated salt water, hose away. I'm lucky. I live in a city by Lake Michigan.

    Flowering in equatorial latitudes

Outdoors is so different, so I never really pay attention to indoor grow threads. I do know that 2 months of veg should be enough to start forcing them to flower. How tall/big are they now? I've had Sativa grt 6 ft before flower kicked in.

    Flowering in equatorial latitudes

The good thing is you are working with Sativa. And they are potted. You are going to have to trick them, most likely. I have been to your area in August, and the only way I can imagine you inducing flowering and more importantly, bud production, is to reduce the sunlight by covering them. You...

Accidental. From seed to 7' (First)

That's the reward for outdoor growers. I'm using containers for the first time, so I'm going to top out around 5ft probably. Next year, back in the earth for me to get those 7-8 ft trees!!

    Newbie and need some advice

I still obsess, and I have some grows under my belt. But it much less than I used to. Support is easy. Get some bamboo stakes and some yarn or string, and prop them up as needed. I use them all the time for all kinds of things from corn to my girls. Remember, during flower, really observe the...

    Anyone’s plants budding yet ?

In Wisconsin we are already at 14:45 of sunlight today. We have lost 2 minutes of sun already in the last 25 days. Summer fades quickly here.

    BrewerToker 2020

Stretch might be my favorite phase. Especially when new pistils are popping at the same time. Now is when Wisconsin summers really pay off. I probably have another week to 10 days of stretch, so this girl will still be huge, just not in-the-earth tree huge!

    BrewerToker 2020

Wife wanted me to low key it this season because of the long time away from home and me not watching them. Next season I grow trees again! However, my lady is about 5ft with the first week of stretch starting. The two small ones are just experiments at this point. Test some methods out on them...

    BrewerToker 2020

Only doing three plants this season. Spent a whole month on vacation between Rockie Mtn Natl Park and Door County here in Wisconsin, but still had time to plant 4 beaners in organic soil (fox farm). One was a bastard male, so he's dead. My largest girl is in flower mode while stretching, and I...

    Not even close?

There are so many new flowers still. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Those things will look like you put frosting on them when they are ready to chop.

    Switching soils for flowering stages

Don't fuck your plants up. Leave them alone!

    CUT?

Calssic Sativa traits. You are going to be in for a very, very long flowering stage. Just ride it out. If you see male traits show, it hermed on you. Do. Not. Cut!!!

What was your first outdoor yield?

Two things: Yield can be huge, if you do it right. Especially during flower, when problems can creep real quick. I only grow outside, and my girls can reach 7 ft easily. With that many plants, you better make sure you pull ALL the males. You should be already on top of that. My first grow was...

Using fruit to enhance your flavor
