Holy OverFed Cannabis Batman! (Or: Watering is not the #1 Newbie Problem)

Good question. I start with base lucas with any strain and go from there. The last few years I've run a very high transpiration environment (72F canopy, 20% average RH) and have found full lucas to be a bit strong for some plants. GG#4 can stand full lucas and a bit more, she's a beast...

I'll let you re-read the thread, including the places where I explained just that, in detail. Nice.

Holy OverFed Cannabis Batman! (Or: Watering is not the #1 Newbie Problem)

Quality is shot, long before clawing. I posted a simple method for determining the optimum feed level for any plant. I don't care what your final color is, if you do it right you'll stop increasing the feed WAY before you reach a dark green or clawing. I try to make sure I'm posting about...

    I think it's time

Appreciate you taking the time to post that. Sounds like you did a great job. :) No idea on the vaping though. :) Have to try it and get back to us with the real vape gear you mentioned.

400 watt or 600 watt hid in this closet?

No experience with that, no way I can comment. Sorry. :(

    Curing: burping jars

Yes, and it's only capable of so much absorption or release. I guarantee if you do not properly dry your flowers before jarring with a boveda pack, you'll definitely mess up the cannabis.

    Curing: burping jars

Slow dry for higher terpene retention. 7-10 days is better, mold becomes a trickier problem, solvable with steadily moving, slow air. I'd love to slow dry over 6 months like tobacco, mold is not your friend though. Douglas

    Curing: burping jars

Remember, the packs are designed to 'maintain' a certain moisture level, not reach that level. Always do your best to properly dry the cannabis first. You'll get the best mileage out of your packs. I generally hang dry my branches in a dark place with around 55% humidity and a slow movement of...

    Curing: burping jars

It won't hurt anything at this point. Maybe not ideal, but not horrible. :)

    Colorado gone too far

You're aware that a HUGE percentage of the 'pens' you see 'kids' with these days are nicotine, right? Cannabis is not the problem. lol I live in Colorado too. Ignorance is the problem, aggravated by continuing prohibition in surrounding states. Sanity is slowly spreading though, time will fix...

    ScrOG?

Scrogging is meditative and much more labor intensive than other canopy management methods. You do get rewarded for your efforts though, with extra yield. :) A small screen can take 30min, twice a day, at full growth rates during stretch. The awesome part is only having to raise the light, once...

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

At what temperature? around 72F I shoot for 55%, never had an issue with mold when temps went too high for some reason. 63% is what the dispensaries and poor dealers sell you cannabis at. Paying flower prices for water, makes them good money. I personally would keep burping the jars for now...

400 watt or 600 watt hid in this closet?

400w covers about 3x2 I would think about a 400w and possibly some of the newer 17w LED replacement bulbs along the dark edge(s)? Those things are showing some great promise within 12". Probably be the cheapest option that will still decently fill the space. :) Douglas

Holy OverFed Cannabis Batman! (Or: Watering is not the #1 Newbie Problem)

They most certainly do, sorry if that wasn't clear. This is why I advocate slowly ramping up feed levels and seeing where maximum growth rates stop at. The color will be the color, I'm saying that you'll rarely (if ever) find a plant that grows better quality at a darker color. Watch the...

    I think it's time

The overgrow faq is over 15 years old now, you may not be familiar with it but you've read the mis/dis-information in it repeatedly online, in every cannabis forum you've been in. I can assure you of that. I'm here to point out that cannabis really is not 'one with nature,' at least not as far...

    I think it's time

You're welcome, glad it makes sense. Google it and show me though, I'd like to see it? And no, it's not something I discovered, it was taught to me by postings from Lucas 15+ years ago. Back before all the good info from cannabisworld and overgrow was blasted apart by disinformationists...

    I think it's time

Good luck with that. I'm answering questions on here and posting good information. You seem to be in an all fired hurry for me to post it all at once. I just spent 2 months editing the same information, I'll take my time re-typing everything here, thanks. :) Give my post a 'like' if you agree...
