Has anyone seen a plant develop a node like this before? On the third node it has complete ring of undeveloped leaves around the stem. The stem also looses about 50% of its diameter after the node. This is a 3 week old Rocket Fuel Auto on a 24 hour light cycle and the only plant to show it...

Despite my best efforts, cedar mulch with a diatomaceous earth ring and a mat of sandpaper around my plants the slugs have just gone to town, I can tell from the slime trails all over. I've lost almost half my grow to those little pigs, 10 gone and 4 in ICU. I am wondering if it is too late...
