Don't smoke the bud. I'd suggest making oil or hash with it. Good luck. Simon

    Venting 3x1000k?

Out of sheer curiosity, can you please cite the "law of physics" that allows condensation to form on a hot surface? I'm not doubting that you, or whoever else, may come across condensation issues. Not understanding how the process works won't help. Cold glass of soda on a hot day, condensation...

Condensation collects on a cold surface. The lights are hot. Simon

    Venting 3x1000k?

Condensation occurs when hot air comes in contact with a cold surface. Here, we have cold air coming in contact with a hot surface. No condensation. FWIW, I run my lights on a closed loop drawing (external) cold air. Good luck. Simon

    A perfect cure every time

I don't suggest using a humidipak over the course of the cure. There's simply no need, as it's the moisture contained within the product that drives the process. A humidipak does work well for keeping a cured stash at the right humidity. Good luck. [As a side note, at worst, a humidipak can...

    A perfect cure every time

Heh, it's as if folks would rater argue than grow lots of bud. When I started out, I identified a number of growers I wanted to learn from, shut my mouth and listened for a hell of a long time, while putting in the hours in my own garden. Here, the less experience you have, the louder you are...

    A perfect cure every time

You don't seem to realize that these factors are not independent. If the plant dries whole well enough to cure, but the bud doesn't cure due to the RH in the room - as you claim above - then such action would be physically impossible. Can't happen. There's oblivious something amiss in this...

    A perfect cure every time

Both are strain-dependent properties. As the product cures, chlorophyll and its byproducts diminish and the true colors come out. Some bud is red, some is brown, some is gold-like, and some is brown. Off the top of my head, Nirvana's Shiva stays green as does Next Gen's Grapefruit. Same goes for...

Kind of overwhelmed with this year

Yes. Lining the bucket with a turkey bag is a good idea, as well, or you can get 2.5gal glass jars at Target. Simon

I grew out a few PEs over a couple of cycles. The final product smelled and tasted great, the bud wasn't rock-hard and I can see how it could even turn a little fluffy under smaller lights or less favorable conditions, and the yield was good. Not great, but good. Its potency was, maybe, a 7 on a...

An open discussion on Simon D's "A Perfect Cure Every Time" method.

It's great to see folks show this sort of an interest. The Perfect Cure methodology was tested for +7 years before its introduction, using every permutation of the concept. The (numerical) scale errs on the conservative side. Last thing I want is for someone to fuck up his harvest. Folks are...

I've been trying to think of something useful to post, so let me talk a bit about keeping plants alive and small for an extended period. I finished last season at the end of May and shut down the garden. I planted 2 (each) of the 5 moms I'll be running this year, later culling one of each as...

    Water Curing....................

FWIW, I water-cured some Amnesia last season and compared it to the bud from the same plant cured for ~5 weeks. The bud looked like shit, the taste and smell were strongly diminished, though the smell of the (exhaled) smoke didn't really chnage. In terms of smoothness of smoke - the part I was...

Hi Izoc! Nice to see you. If I can find a seedbank that'll give me a bunch of free fems with a purchase, I'll likely grow them out and post the pics. Attitude's October offer isn't that great, so I'm still looking. I'll likely order, anyway, though. lol I still have the Diet Rite can, so half...

How long can hygrometer be stored? Need quick answer please help!

If you're choosing a hygrometer other than a Caliber III or a Hydorset/Xikar, you can't fully trust the readings. To answer your question, you can store a good hygrometer for a very long time. At this point, I think my oldest Caliber is ~9 years old. Then, it was a Caliber II. Good luck. Simon

I hope everyone had a good summer. I'm about to start a new season. Haven' worked since May, so I may be a bit rusty, but it was really nice to get a break from growing. No free seed plants, yet. To be perfectly honest, I don't have a whole lot of seeds still around. I flowered pretty much all I...
