58% vs 62% RH for vape and pipe?

I've used 62% for a long time ...but it is slightly gummy in the grinder and pipe sometimes. Not horrible but I am thinking of trying 58% this time. I'm curious before I spend money on boveda packs if 58% is too low for vaping in my volcano and pax. Does the extra water content help produce more...

Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

This isn't a wine cooler but rather my FF refrigerator. The buds are in a cardboard box in the fridge, until I can care a cheap wine fridge to try out I was wanting to try the lotus cure. I'm surprised it's already at this humidity level, it's roughly only been about 10 days. It was hang dried...

I get it..just wanted to try it. I didn't plan on chopping and throwing right in there...probably let dry for 24/48 hours first depending on outside temp.

Right, this is why I was wondering if putting bud in a groove bag in the fridge would work. The bags say they have a breathable membrane. Think I'll try a few buds next time. My main two concerns is my summers are hot..it was 105F today. So the thermo's might have a issue. Second, how well do...

Thanks for the input. I'd like to hear from guys that used both a compressor based and thermoelectric based to compare. They also make small frost free fridges to, wish they did that with freezers but anyways.... Wonder if you'd even need a dehu with a small frost free fridge? I've been...

    Freezer Curing Cannabis

Here's the link ...I did this a few times years ago before I took a long break. It worked awesome. This time, being my summer is so hot and dry I didn't dry for a few days until the stems got to the point of snapping. I dried for about five hours till they were dry to the touch on the outside...

    Freezer Curing Cannabis

Normal freezer like the one in your kitchen which should be frost free. The freeze dry method using a freeze dryer is also a option and work great from my understanding but a small one is like $3k.

Thanks, went there. Also filled out their contact now to see if they will email me back for follow up questions. Where did you find the doc so cheap? Was it a virtual visit or did you have to go in? It looks like we have t go through the same process every two years..that a shame for those of us...

    Oklahoma Growers Thread!

Greetings guys. I've been here for a long time but at a different state. I recently, last Nov, moved to Oklahoma and have some questions about getting a medical card. I was wondering if I could ask a few questions here for those that have went through this process? I don't want to taint the...

    Freezer Curing Cannabis

I've used this method before from the infamous thread over at IC but it's been years ago since I've grown. I do remember, like the op stated in his thread, I did let the buds dry for several days until the stems were bendy and almost snapping. Then I put them into paper bags and into my frost...

I'm just curious, have you tried the lotus cure in a modern frost free fridge compared to what you're doing now? I'm curious how they compare and differ. I've only dried and cured in my frost free freezer.

When you have the whole dehu in the same space the evap and condenser are in the same space. I'm seeing this on other builds both compressor based and thermoelectric. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the cold side (condenser) that pulls the moisture out by lowering the dew point and forming...

Thermoelectric wine cooler drying and curing - DIY

So the thermoelectric coolers don't work well if the ambient temp is high? This is the primary reason I was looking to build something, the summers are long and hot here in the US south. It's 100+ F @ 30-40% RH for months outside and 80+ F or so inside. I couldn't afford to run a AC all day for...

Hmm, the ones that go into cigar humidors don't pool. I guess if they got over saturated they might but I've never heard anybody says this. I'm switching over to the beads for my cigars as the Boveda get expensive over time. https://www.heartfeltindustries.com/categories.asp?cat=Humidity+Beads

I'm curious if anybody has tried the 2 way humidity beads or boveda packs to pull out the moisture and then add back as needed? I see the wine coolers you guys are building have a dehu in them, I was just curious if taking some 2 way beads that have been dried out would pull the moisture out of...
