Saw this today and thought I would share with all who are interested.

I personally think it looks awesome and has a great cast.

I'm torn, it looks decent, I like the people involved, but I fucking hate promoting Christianity in any way, and I feel like this movie does..

I'm interested in how they deal with the logistics of every animal on board the arc, and how Noah builds it so far back in human history. From the trailer, it looked pretty big, I'm not an engineer but I've read the logistics simply wouldn't add up, there are just too many different kinds of animals (something the ancients obviously didn't know at the time..).

Well yeah, but you could also look at it as supporting the Hollywood entertainment industry which has been subverting Christianity's control over society for decades.

I don't look at it like that at all, as that's not what your average viewer of this movie will likely be thinking..

Also, I don't think Hollywood has been subverting Christianity for decades

Was just kidding, didnt mean to strike a nerve if I did. I do however think that pop culture (which the film industry is part of) has had an effect over time of the drift to a slightly more secular society.

Probably, but I'm not sure I would attribute that to Hollywood, or necessarily the entertainment industry. I'd think it's more of a reaction of our society progressing that way and Hollywood's attempt to produce films that cater to it accordingly

Like how after WW2 you saw an increase in WW2 centric films, after Vietnam, same deal.. today, with Muslim extremists and terrorism so prevalent in the mainstream, that's what you get, and it's normally viewed in a negative light because everyone knows the wars in the middle east were bullshit. It would be silly to see a typically patriotic American flick (like Topgun) in todays theaters because most Americans today realize that stuff is propaganda. It would flop in a heartbeat..

On the other hand, a movie like 'V for Vendetta'...

It's a movie that glorifies a myth, just like any other movie about a myth.

The problem is that some people actually believe this myth is true. lol

"The Ark of Noah hides the secrets of the Self-realization of the Being, the secrets of Tantra, which are hidden in different verses in the Bible. We need to know a lot of Alchemy and Kabbalah in order to understand what the Ark of Noah is."
